my mother is elderly and she was obviously target via text and when she spoke with scammer he claimed that he was from amazon and that someone had hacked her account and was trying to buy a couch for $400 and needed her bank account information. When I walked in, she had her bank account open and he was trying to access information. I took the phone and he became verbally abusive while using excessive profanity. this immediately let me know that it was a scammer
