Kalyani Ponugoti Prashanth Ponugoti Reports & Reviews (2)

Resolved

Kalyani N. Ponugoti has approached me LinkedIn about a private coaching/mentorship program set up to assist people in starting their own business. We then set-up a Zoom meeting. Forty-five minutes into the call, I was getting asked a lot of unnecessary, invasive questions about my personal life to which I changed the subject or would not answer. She asked if I live alone, and if I was married, etc. Yet she still hadn't articulated what the businesses purpose, criteria to be selected, or given my any real pertinent information to make a decision. I asked her directly for that information and she told me I would need to do six to seven, 1 hour Zoom meetings to vet me and determine if we're a match. She continued to have an evasive, vague, style of interviewing me so I told her I would not be disclosing any more information until I had some kind of material to review and make a decision on my own to move forward. Her husband, Prashanth Ponugoti then got on the call. He said he had been listening, and became indignant towards me because of my discretion and request for more information. He became belligerent and I said I was not going to do this and ended the call. Overall, I believe they have unscrupulous intention with this "business". A lot of inconsistency, and vague in getting information. Kalyani tried to get as much personal information about me all the while giving me as little as possible about the business, requirements, and even how I can succeed or why I should choose to work with them. It really seems like it's just a way to get personal information in an obscure or subtle manner, set-up through Zoom calls as under the guise of "vetting". They only want to vet you, you cannot vet them. The husband is irate and has a temper at the least bit of resistance given. Unprofessional doesn't begin to describe the two... There's a creepy, strange disposition that can be picked up on pretty quickly. Even with all that went on, I still was the one who had to end the call. Prashanth wanted to argue with me and call me impatient because I wanted see some legitimacy of their business and wouldn't commit to all the zoom calls. They both are on LinkedIn and Kalyani had sent me a connection request. They both have what looks like legitimate profiles. Their profiles also list a business they may be working under to lure people which they wouldn't mention by name it is called Fine Arts Leadership. They're based out of Brampton, Canada. They are contacting people on LinkedIn.
