While searching all available on-line sites in search of a Miniature Schnauzer puppy, and checking numerous Websites, Craigslist, classifieds, etc. for a puppy or rescue between 1 -3 yr old. We had just lost our 16 yr old miniature schnauzer TAZ and our 3 yr old OBIE was missing him and really needed a brother or sister ASAP. No rescues were available after a month long search and although I wasn't looking forward to pottie training (we had miniature schnauzers for pets for over 30 years....all of them puppies all of them spayed or neutered) so I was really looking for a rescue. When we couldn't find one we decided to find puppy. Kyla Schnauzer Home had beautiful puppies "ON SALE 50% OFF AND FREE SHIPPING" Since the puppies were 11 - 12 weeks old we thought the sale was legit since most puppies are sold at 8 weeks and they had two litters within days. We were told to submit our choice, 1st & 2nd. If still available they would contact us by email. Our 1st choice AMA was the only one left and we thought it was "a sign" ??. So my hubby contacted Kyla and she emailed a contract she had signed and needed both my husbands and my signtures. We offered payment by Master Card, Visa or Paypal. Kyla said they only used Western Union so they could immediately claim their fee and as soon as the funds were available she would schedule AMA's delivery directly to our home address. We had a WU account also which pleased Kyla. Unfortunately WU was doing electronic software updates and caused us problems with our phone acct. We were worried about AMA's possible status with the pet transport company and her care overnight. Kyla told us she had to retrieve AMA due to some insurance problems and she was safely at home by 10:30 that evening. The Western Union office had the funds ready for pickup, but Kyla was unable to access them due to error codes so she asked us to change the name and location to her brother, Michael Taylor in OK as opposed to the original wire transfer that was sent to Valery Ramone in VA. That made the red flags start flying but we had problems with WU ourselves so we asked WU to do the change and they agreed in our case because of their software updates, when normally they would not.

So AMA was on her way and suppose to be delivered to our door by 7:45 that night. Kyla said she had to pay $1,200 for insurance for AMA and said the transport company was suppose to refund the money to us once AMA was safely delivered and asked if we would be so kind as to WU it back to her the following morning. This again was weird but we agreed. Then the tormented evening of waiting for AMA hour after hour from her ETA. My husband was frantic. Trying to call Kyla, texting, email just to recieve no response. He called airports, tried to find a phone number for transport company and ended up talking to an India speaking man who he couldn't understand anything but "will send email". HE DIDN'T EVEN HAVE OUR EMAIL. By midnight we thru in the towel accepting that we'd been scammed. We had fallen for all of Kyla's compliments about our patient's and even talked about sending her a thank you after our baby AMA arrived. Still people who scam and cheat honest pet lovers never win. At least it was just the money we lost and NO PUPPY was harmed by their reprehensible deceiving fraud and I can only hope my story will help someone else from getting scammed.
