Labor Poster Scam Reports & Reviews (2)

- Freedom, CA, USA • Dec 06, 2023

I recently formed an LLC and received an official-looking "notification" in the mail informing me that my business is required by Federal Law to post labor law compliance posters. It cited U.S. Code and also described penalties for non-compliance. The "notice" was demanding payment of $86.25 by December 4, 2023.

After setting up a new corporation recently, I started receiving offers through the US Postal Service for some scammy looking offers. A google search in my state (MA) turned up warnings in Internet.

The company name did not match with the company on the same address (except Apt. 305) That Letter includes:

"Your business is required by Federal Law to post a current compliant labor law poster in the workplace. Federal law minims that this poster be placed on the property of the business whether you have 1 employee or 1.000. You must post UP-TO-DATE employment posters in the workplace. The poster must also include information about workers’ compensation benefits.

Failure to post required state and federal labor law notices can result in fines of nearby $40,000."

"Check or money order enclosed: $85.25 Make checks payable to: Labor Poster Compliance"
