Lamp Light Movers Agency Reports & Reviews (2)

- Somerset, PA, USA

This company worked with another company who was "selling puppies" for the scam. I initially contacted Cosy Welcome about purchasing one of their puppies. I chose a puppy and paid the $600 fee with Zelle [email protected]. The original scammer kept in constant contact with me and gave me all kinds of information about the puppy, what to feed it etc. It was to be shipped to me via a pet transport company called Lamp Light Movers. I was to receive the puppy on Friday but late in the afternoon, I received an email from the pet carrier saying that the puppy was in their Queens NY facility for proper health checks and that I needed to pay a refundable insurance of $589.00 and that the puppy would be delivered the next day. The next day I got another email asking for an additional $495.00 for a Thermal Crate fee. At this point I realized that this was a scam and began asking questions but no one ever got back to me. I emailed repeatedly but after I refused to pay the additional $495.00 they never replied.

Contacted by owner of a Shih Tzu puppy that they would be using Lamp Light Movers Agency to deliver a puppy to me after I paid $800 ($600 for puppy $200 delivery) Delivery was from Richmond, VA to Hartford, CT airport then to my house. When Lamp Light contacted me they gave me a tracking code of PT985032 to check delivery time AND to send them $1500 for REFUNDABLE insurance to insure puppy was healthy when delivered and they would refund the money on the spot...all through Zelle. One day later they said the puppy was in Queens for health screening. Next day puppy was fine but needed $795 for Thermal crate, $700 for crate, refunded, and $95 for rental fee. All would be refunded at time of delivery through Zelle. My Zelle account has been frozen and $500 of the original $1500 has been returned to me (yay!} I have not paid the $795. I have asked for a copy of their California business license or the number to insure it is a legitimate business. No response so far. If the puppy is real it means it has been in a crate for 4 days, supposedly with a "puppy nanny." There are two complaints about this company on the web, I learned after paying $1500. There is no phone number for this company.

I have requested a refund for the puppy from owner and will file a ScamPulse.com complaint against her, also. I think they are in cahoots.
