They called and said I defaulted in an account that I paid for but they said I didn’t. They had the amount I had paid a year ago. And said i defaulted but I didn’t. This account isn’t even in my name, I paid for it for my husband and they said be cause I helped pay it I am an accessory and that if I choose not to pay it I will go to court and they will file criminal charges against me. When I attempted to ask for a validation letter and the account number he didn’t want to give it to me. He didn’t want to give me their address. When the other company that I did pay to a year ago they called this number and they wouldn’t talk to him. I looked up the address and called the building people to see if they rented out to a G and R group at that address. They said they have no one like that and that people call about things like this for that same group. I called ScamPulse.com and they looked up the numbers, I had two numbers I called and one was a robocall and the other a one line scam number. So I had to put a stop payment on my account because they scared me told me I needed to pay or I would be paying a lot of legal fees plus having criminal charges. I put a fraud alert on my social because they had first 5 numbers to my social but I gave the last 4. I have a lot of information I wrote down.
