this dealership advertised a truck for sale on auto trader for 38659.00. I used auto trader to contact the dealer to let them know i was interested. a salesman text me and we begun to ask details about the truck. he ask me if i had a trade in. I told him I did not; his next question was all about how much my present truck payment was, I much I owed and what I wanted for a payment. I told him he must have misunderstood, I did not have a trade. I would bring a check with me at time of a deal based on inspection of the truck and I told him I was from out of state. I ask if talking on the phone with the sales manager would be a better way to proceed and he said it would. I ask for a final price if I added a brake controller and if financing thru them may save money. When he text me back the sales manager would call me that day. No one called, so I called the next day trying to talk to the salesman, a Buddy *******. He was in a meeting. I ask to talk to the finance person, and he ask which truck I was interested in. I gave him a vin number off auto trader and i also had the sticker from the salesman which did not have a vin number, the printer cut it off, the email I had of the sticker was erased. The finance man said he would have the salesman call me. He seemed to be of no help with my questions. Mr. Jackson called me and explained they were selling a lot of trucks the night before and that is why no call was made to me. He then told me the truck had been sold. I told him, it sounds like a bait and switch was going on. I would ask the better business bureau about this dealer ship and I hung up. Later that morning the sales manager called me, Steve called. He at first talked about a number of trucks he had but told me the truck I wanted was not sold. The price was over $46000 and continued to talk very rapidly and I was unable to get a word in. Finally I ask about the auto trader ad, and he told me they where a third party, he repeated this over and over and wanted me to bring up his website, which I was unable to do, wasn't near my computer. I told him it sounded like a bait and switch. He acted as if auto trader did not have an agreement with the dealership to advertise this vehicle put did not say this, he just kept saying auto trader was a third party. Auto trader was the media that the salesman and myself made contact and the salesman knew exactly about all of the details of this truck as per the auto trader ad.
