David Martinez Was the guy who called me, He said he was with the FSA and I only gave my email and birthday, he already had my name when calling he also knew my loan debt after I gave my email and last 4 SSN. I kept getting disconnected and he’d call back but if I tried to call all it’d say was “ thank you for calling if you want to be put on a do not call list press one” and repeat.. I got an email and submitted all the info they provided to the numbers and locations below.
The only thing that’s not lining up with the things that say it’s a scam is I was never asked for money and I was never promised immediate relief just that they would start taking over and I’d pay less and then all of a sudden nothing after so long of paying less was also told that there were three different kinds of loan forgiveness depending on your working class, income, and what you owe. So is this a scam and is there steps I should be taking to make sure that my stuff is not touched they kept getting disconnected and finally just stop calling back after I asked if the application is online anyways to just fill out.

SCAM SCAM SCAM
I’ll make a long story short, it’s basically the same as most of these complaints! This company is a scam. Their representative is unprofessional and extremely rude! Tried to scam me out of $800 but with my banks help I got it back. And the refusal to provide me with needed documents only helps my case! These people need to be stopped!

This is possibly a school loan repayment scam, a 3rd party.

She put me on a repayment plan.

However, is she really authorized to receive my payments?

I need to know if this company is legitimate.

Is this a legitimate company to make payments.

Just reported them to my bank. This is a scam. They stated I would pay $249.00 a month x4 months, then $40 a month x20 years. Once I reviewed the documents, it seemed suspicious. Cancelled everything through my bank. DO NOT DO NOT give them any credit card numbers or personal information.

This company operates in the Philippines and Colombia and California, they pretend their federal lenders and get access to your FSA in which has all the information regarding your student loans. The payments will not go towards your federal loans basically it gets split by commissions between the sales rep and the owners ARNIE ISAACS and DEBBIE ISAACS and the manager VIVIANA ALEJANDRA PENA. PLEASE CONTACT YOUR BANK AND REPORT THEM AS A FRAUDULENT COMPANY TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK! ALSO, CONTACT THE FEDERAL TRADE CENTER SO THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN TO ANYONE ELSE. THESE ARE THIEFS REPORT THEM HELP SHUT DOWN THIS COMPANY

A company by the name of Liberty Document Processing called me posing as the federal government, claiming to be a consolidation company for the school loans. They had my account number of the original loan in which I needed consolidated, with my loan amounts. I was told I needed to initially pay 640 dollars then 19 dollars a month for 20 years. This equaling 5200 dollars of my school loan who is a little over 21,000. I had made a total of 2692 dollars before I realized they were not a real company. I was about to pay off the remainder with income tax return when all sudden I didn't receive any answer, after requesting my pay off and copy of all paper work. My school company said I was not with a consolidation company, so I started calling the bank, closing my account and trying to stop this company from doing this to anyone else.

They said they were the dept of education about

my student loan and that I was being forgiven the loan due to my disability and all I had to do was pay $66.66 for 9 months..

They have my information personal and financial and are taking money out if my bank account..

They lied a bit who they are and what they do.

It looks like this "Sebastian Gilbert" is a made-up name. This is a total scam. People are buried in student loan debt and desperate to get rid of this debt. These ruthless predators are very much aware of this and use every tactic to take advantage of these vulnerabilities. I had my doubts but decided to try. After the first month, I tried to contact the company. It is a huge pain in the neck to close your account, but that is my best advice. Close your bank account! You can pay the stop-pay fee, but these scammers already have your information and can try to withdraw using a different name. Here's a lesson: The Department of Education is the only agency you should work with for loan forgiveness.

notify your bank regarding your payments and report them as fraud to get your money back, this is a picture of Alejandra

- Longmont, CO, USA

I was contacted by an unknown number asking if I wanted to be apart of student loan forgiveness. I agreed. I signed a contract to pay them $50 for the first year and then $20 for the next 9 years and then my student loan would be forgiven. I felt really leary about it. I contacted my student loan company and asked them if this was legit. She said no. That I would need to contact everyone involved. My bank, BBB, and change all of my information. So I have.

They called posing as a Federal Loan Servicer. I normally don't even accept these calls but she made it sound like she was from FedLoan, who my loan is currently serviced by. I am also trying to refinance my house and once I started inquiring as to an account portal and why I couldn't access my payment information, they started dodging my calls, The "case manager," Michelle Hendricks, would not reply to my emails. I called the 800 number on their official website, was redirected to an answering service, then immediately disconnected. The only organizations that can refinance Federal Student Loans are FEDERAL companies.

It is about this time of year when you get the phone calls to refinance student loans with "better rates." I typically ignore these calls as I repay my loan through FedLoan. Michelle really sold the loan forgiveness program and "set me up" with Liberty Document Processing. Then 4 payments later I am trying to refinance my house and need documentation that I've been making my student loan payments. I was never given an account or customer portal, which was odd. I emailed Michelle and two weeks went by with no reply. I then tried to call her office and she wasn't there. I called again during business hours and she "wasn't going to be in for another hour." Who isn't in the office at 10am? During that hour I chat with customer service at FedLoan and discover that NO request for refinancing my loans was ever submitted and that my loan was still being serviced by FedLoan. All student loans are in forbearance because of COVID, so who knows how long it would have been before I noticed that something was up. I then go directly to Liberty's website and call the number listed there. It said I was the first caller, rang for about two minutes and then directed me to an answering machine. Then they began dodging my calls altogether. I immediately called my bank and put stop payments on all future recurring payments. I have no idea what those 4 payments of $200 each was going towards, but it certainly was NOT my student loans. I don't know how these people sleep at night. Do NOT fall for this. Only use the approved federal loan providers to repay your student loans.

A representative of Liberty Document Processing called my cell phone claim to be affiliated with the Department of Education helping students with a Loan Forgiveness program offering assistance to pay a large portion of their debt. The Representative first stated the first six digits of my social security number and for “verification purposes” asked me to state the last four digits of my social security number. The rep explained that she needed this information to log in to my FSA account so she could screenshot the debt I was facing and we could review the information together. At that point she went into my account, sent me multiple emails forcing me to accept the temporary password for FSA and she sent me the screenshots of my debt which was shocking, naturally. The catch was that I must make payments of $75/mo. for “x amount” of months and then the payment would drop down to $25/mo. until I’ve reached $6,000 worth of payments, and once I reached that amount paid out of pocket Liberty Document Processing would pay the remaining balance of $14,000 still in debt. I explained that I was laid off from my job due to the COVID pandemic and was living off unemployment and still had my bills/rent to pay. I also told her that I wouldn’t be able to make a payment today, she then stated that if I did not make arrangements to make a payment on that day, this offer would expire and because I took her phone call and had this entire conversation was them attempting to collect a debt and my interest rate would go sky rocket due to declining this once in a life time offer. I explained that I’ve been working hard to increase my credit score for the past year and a half and want to continue progressing so I needed to work something out to make a payment on the spot, she informed me that starting this process would in fact boost my credit score and at that moment I gave her my credit card information and she processed my first payment of $75. She emailed me a bunch of forms with a schedule of monthly payments and payment history to keep track of my progress and informed me that the bill will be taken automatically from my account. We then finalized the transaction and that was done. Once I received the emailed documents of our conversation I googled Scam Tracker only to realize that other individuals like myself were having the same conversation with no positive outcome. This company is a fraud! Beware!!!!!
