Lions Club International Grant Reports & Reviews (1)

- Ellington, CT, USA

I received a message from messanger in Facebook. The scammer used the name of my cousin who lives is AR and told me that I should apply for a $100,000 grant which is being sponsored by the Lions Club International, the grant is tax free, and no questions asked. However, I did not get scammed because I did not apply but I did look this up online and discovered that this was a scam. Also, I assume that the application would ask for a lot of personnel information another reason I did not click on the application link. My reason for reporting this is I am an older person, and I don't want to see other elderly people fall for this. The message was pushy when I tried to ask questions I was told to hurry up and apply before they run out of money. and I was supposed to get back to a Walter Link after I applied. Since I did not follow through with the instructions the message all of a sudden disappeared.
