I went into a Spectrum store on 1/29/23 to purchase internet service. I was told the service would cost $49.99/month for a full year (i.e 1/29/24). An agreement was made on this day. I was billed in March of 2023 for 2 months of service at $99.99 which I paid on 3/13/23. There after I was bill $54.99/month up until I noticed the additional $5.00 in August 2023. They explained to me the additional $5.00 was for a promotion that included cellular service and since I did not have this service they would charge the extra $5.00. I was never told this at the Spectrum store nor disscussed with me during my visit. Today I was told they can only honor my 1 year agreement until today and not any longer. I was told today 8/15/23 that I would be reimbursed for $25.00 ONLY. This will cost me an additional $35.00 that they would not want to reimburse me for regardless of me telling them this was not discussed during our first store encounter on 1/29/23. If feel they sneaked in the extra $5.00 dollars a month without a formal discussion with me and retracted on their initial agreement of $49.99/month as they assured that the additional $35 I would be paying until 1/29/24 would and could not be reimbursed.

Shaquima on 8/15/23: she assured me I would not be honored the additional $35 dollars reimbursement until 1/29/24 and that I would be paying $54.99/month moving forward.

I believe simple clarity at the beginning of our agreement would have been better than sneaking (scamming) in an additional $5.00 a month to the paying customer would have been a better resolution.
