I responded to a post on facebook about a stay at home job for moms. She had me download the telegram messanger app and enter a code that woukd take me to the hiring manager for Lowell Farms Company. I talked to Daniel Blais who again told me the company name and listed the job heading: "Our Company LOWELL FARMS is seeking assistance with the “work from home initiative” to assist .Now going into Data entry/ Medical biller/Customer Service/Sales/Administration Assistant accounting work from home job to create employment opportunity for the less privilege, disables and manily to decrease the rate of unemployment in the economy, Our Goal is to help our employee achieve success. We do this because of our complete focus and commitment on quality,Our core strength lies in the ability to build customized teams in your area for our clients and make these teams a seamless extension of the organizations. Understood?" The bad grammer and punctuation gave me a red flag right away. We conversed for a while, the whole time feeling uneasy. He asked about my debt, stating that the company helps their employees pay off their debt. Asked how many credit cards i have. He said the job is direct deposit and asked for my bank name, which i gave, but no other info. He offered me the job, but I'm just too uneasy about the whole thing to go any further.

I was given a link on Facebook messenger from my cousin of a legit home base job listing. I clicked on the link and was sent to to Okanogan County Buy, Sell N Trade group to a posting by Linda Hilton, I sent her a private message over messenger showing interest in the job. She then told me to download Telegram Messenger and login and message @lowellfarms1 and Send code LYTA-009 talk to a Deborah Lampp. She introduce herself as the hiring manager to the firm Lowell Farms Company and asked a few normal questions for the interview. Name, Sex, Age, Location, and Zip before she started on the actual interview questions. Then proceed to tell me about the company seeking assistance with the work at home initiative. Then went into the job description which all sounded very legit. Then she started on the interview questions: Are you currently employed? Do you have a hp printer, copier, and scanner? Do you have a check printing experience? Are you seeking full time or part time? Who is your mobile phone carrier? Tell us why you feel you are the right person for the job? How would you like to get paid ? weekly or bi weekly? Direct Deposit or mailed? What band do you operate with Do you have any active credit card debt? Is your mobile phone prepaid or postpaid? I answered all questions didn't seem odd to me. She then asked who my credit cards were through and what there limits were? I refused to give out this info cause no employer has the right to now this unless they decide to do a credit check on me and they can get that info themselves. She then told me she was going to forward the conversation to the Head Dept and reach back to me the next morning... I went and looked up the company on google and it is a legit company and noticed that it had job postings on several job posting sites, so I thought it was legit. Deborah reached out to me again this morning (12/6/2023) and said that I scored a 95% on the question's answered and I qualified for the job. She started then going into detail about the job benefits and that they will provide me with all the necessary equipment and that they have over 50,000+ employees all over the world speaking over 52 different languages. I would receive a bonus check of $750 with my equipment when it showed up. She then requested my full name, current address, phone number, email, picture of driver license and a selfie pic. and then congratulated me on joining the company. She then went on to describe the job in more detail as well as giving me a list of items needed to do the job. She said due to corvid 19 and issues with records and such that they no longer ordered the equipment for there new employees but instead send the employee a couple of checks to order the necessary equipment through there trusted vendors. A supervisor would then bring me up to speed on everything else and how it all works. Once I was cleared by HR desk I would receive 3 checks totaling $15,0089 which would pay for all the equipment and give me my $750 bonus. Then proceed to ask about my bank and rate there customer service experience with them then to check my bank mobile deposit limit and send them a pic. I sent the pic but cropped it so none of my personal or bank info was sent over. She then wrote back stating the finance department approved the check to be issued and funds to be disbursed stating the check could have an affiliate or partnering companies name on it. She sent me a pic of front and back of a check for $4,989.00 from Forward Air Inc PO Box 1058 Greeneville, TN 37744-1058 issued by First Horizon Bank Memo MercyOne. I was to print the check out and trim it to the correct size, endorse the back and mobile deposit it into my app. then take a pic of it mobile deposited for confirmation. Through out all of this she did not request my social security # nor did she ask for any money. This is how I got hooked. I called the company and they told me that it was indeed a scam because they do not advertise job listings on social media.
