My Facebook account was hacked and subsequently disabled by Facebook. The hacker changed my email address and phone number associated with my account, which resulted in no way to retrieve the account. With the personal information gained from my Facebook account, the hacker has been able to access my email account and other accounts I own, such as Instacart and Disney+, which have both been fraudulently used. I believe my personal data has been leaked for others to use. I believe the hacker is not from the U.S., but my Instacart account was accessed and used from the state of Florida, and my Disney+account was logged into from the state of Iowa. Luckily, Instacart caught the fraudulent activity and halted it, in addition to notifying me. An order for $24.97 went through before they caught the rest (There were several other attempts to place orders). Instacart has since rectified the situation and refunded the cost. In addition to the above situations, I have been receiving numerous spam emails and texts (upwards of 20+ a day). Facebook has done nothing. I haven't received any response to the numerous emails and Support Chat complaints I have sent/filed with them, and they have no customer support for anyone to contact directly. I believe this is a huge data breach, and I know it has happened to hundreds of people (probably more), and two other countries that I am aware of.
