I was up late one night searching for a business that I could possibly start online. I stumbled on a new item done by the PM of Canada about Cryptocurrency and I clicked into it, input my information in the search, and my phone rang. They wanted my cc info and I said I could not discuss that now so they called me again later in the morning. It sounded legitimate, I started with the only money I had at the time US$250. They said that was all I needed to start. they encouraged me to put as much as I could so It would grow faster and they immediately set up my account and I had access to it 24/7. I used money from my cc, debit card, RRSP, every source I could find. The balance grew really fast and I thought I could finally pay off my debt and stop going to the food bank. In the last week of March, I called the contact and told him I needed to withdraw some money by the 3rd week in April as I had a debt repayment date in that week. He said no problem. Two days later, all the transactions started turning red. Several times I asked him about it and he said I did not need to worry about that section. The minus figures started growing rapidly and I voiced my concern every day. On Thursday, March 8 he called to say I would be getting email and a liquidator would call me Friday or Monday. He called on Monday suggesting strongly that I find about US$23000 to add to the account otherwise it was going to close out. He said his company could add $10000 to help out and leave it running until the figures for each active trade becomes positive. I had no other money and told him I was waiting on the withdrawal so that I could have some spending money and stop going to the food bank. he said I had to wait and see where it was going. On Wednesday morning, the account showed a zero balance and a profit of Minus $146492. that was the exact figure to which the profit had grown. No one has answered the phone since.
