Scammer (Lupita Rodriguez) responded to post I made on Facebook regarding an apartment lease I had available. She claimed she was 22, a marketing and sales specialist, and was moving to Austin for work. She sent a check, claiming it was from her company, with her first month rent and her moving fees. After I told her I would not be handling her moving fees, she informed me she already sent the check (though the mail date was dated several days after this conversation took place) and asked me to Zelle her the remaining money for her movers. After I deposited the check, she continually asked me for the money, however my bank caught it as being fraudulent before any money was sent.
