I was contacted by Kristen Robinson about a job as a data entry clerk for calistatheraputics.com. Went through an entire online interview process but never actually talked to them in person and I was offered the job. This a real company run by a real person, I’m assuming who’s email got hacked or something because they were emailing me from the actual company’s email.
Contacted for a real company

I was contacted by an Elizabeth Wilson via phone after submitting an application. I emailed my resume and completed a skills test. I received an offer with a letter and expected start date. I also received the login information for the employee portal. I have not received any response to my emails, texts, or calls since, and today was my scheduled start date.

Was texted about a job offer asking for my resume, was not too suspicious as I have been actively applying for a new job. I sent my resume to the email address listed as [email protected], had correspondence with the person saying they were the HR representative, and was asked to fill out a basic employment form and a skills assessment. 1st red flag was that it was difficult to find information about this company. I could verify that the company existed at one point, but it looked to possibly be out of business, though it was a small private organization, so the information was tough to verify. 2nd red flag was that they were requesting the name of my bank early in the "interview" process, though I thought this could just be to verify that they could do direct deposit to my institution. Then two days later, huge 3rd red flag when I was offered the role without an interview or even speaking to someone on the phone at this point. I accepted though, as it seemed like a great position still, and it was possible that they might be legitimate. However, after they asked for some basic info to make my "employee profile", like my name, date of birth, phone number, email, and gender, they then followed that up asking for me to sign up for Telegram for further communications, and that I would be getting a check soon to buy my office equipment. This is what tipped it over from "skeptical" to "definitely a scam" territory, as I then reached out to a family member who is a CPA, and they checked on the company, noting that they were no longer an active company as far as filing taxes. This confirmed my previous skepticism that this was a zombie scam, where they were acting as a dead corporation to scam me out of money. Thankfully, they did not get my bank info or any password information, though they did get a signature, my date of birth, my email address, and the name of who I bank with.

I had this exact experience about a week ago. Upon researching the company I became very suspicious that this was a scam, but I never quite came to a conclusion. This gave me the closure I needed.

They texted me about a job position as a data entry clerk. I went through the process and took a short test with some questions. I also filled out a employment application. They emailed me saying they were offering me a job and sent me a job offer.
