Popup on internet stating my computer was infected and to call this 800 number and the message was pulsating. Called the number and they said I was infected and they would clean it up and download a security system and I should call back every 30 days to update that security system. Allowed access to my computer to fix it. They said it would be $212.99 to fix it. Showed them a picture of my check through my computer screen. They sent the check through the bank but they altered the check number so I could not find it. They said to make sure you go down to your bank on Monday to tell the bank the check is good and to be expecting it. I realized I was scammed and called the bank on Monday to stop the check. The tech people sent through the check on Tuesday or later. It got rejected by the bank because I stopped payment on it. I have had the computer looked at and was told the tech support company loaded my computer up with spyware and malware and they have all my information including my emails. It cost $85 to have the computer cleaned up and the spyware removed. I called my contacts to warn them that my computer was hacked and they should not open anything from me. I also sent out an email to my contacts to be warry of emails on or after July 9. Once they got my contacts from my email - they sent out an email to some of my contacts from me.

I'm a 67-year-old widow who lives alone and depends on my computer to interact with my son and grandkids. I often wondered if Neuromarketing Inc. was indeed a scam. I've just discovered now that they got me for $211.99 on 09/10/2020. I lost my money because I didn't discover it was a scam until 10 months later. I live on a limited income and saddly this scam hit me hard. Sham on Neuromarketing Inc, and the scammers who work for it. :(

Someone contacted me about a computer service. They promised me that if I had any problems with y computer I could contact them 24/7 and get the issue resolved for the lifetime of my computer. This was approximately in May 2019 or 2020. I did not have any issues until April 2021 and when I called the two phone numbers I had for him, I got "disconnected" errors. (800)986-9456 and (888)254-8136 X-9313. .

I do not have any additional information on this transaction, not even the person's name that I was in contact with. Should anyone else come across this company, I want to warn them that they are a SCAM Company, out to get free money at the hands of unsuspecting victims. I am a senior citizen and it pains me the way so many people get over on us, due to our naivety.

If you can help me out in any way, I will greatly appreciate it.

Using my computer and on email for a link sent me by a trusted friend, all of a sudden the computer froze and a loud alarm began ringing. I was told to call a number for help, which I did to stop the ringing. I basically paniced. A person with a very heavy accent spoke to me, and it was very hard to understand the instructions he gave me, but eventually the ringing stopped and he said I had a lot of problems that they would fix for me for 2 years. He then had a "tech" run tthrough all my data and fix it, then said I would need to pay for their service and would sell me a 2 year guarantee for 349 dollars and would not take a credit card in payment, but had to authorize a payment from my bank. As soon as I hung up, I came to this sit and checked for a scam. I saw report of exactly the same thing and I will be heading to my bank the minute it opens to stop the payment. Thanks for printing the report.

My HP desktop blacked our and an alarm sounded, then a phone# appeared to call for tech support. Then a Rpger Stewart stated my system needs technicial support to clear it. Then he opened my system and said things had been erased and changed and David Smith would fix it for 599.00 with a downpayment of 300.00 tp get started. I am on SS only and told him i was not able to pay that kind of $. So he had me give him my mc bank card information and sent me an invoice.

I called Microsoft and Rick Williams stated this was a scam and to report it and contact my bank to void this payment so to have the amount reimbursed due to fraud. I am verifying any other charges made by anyone but me since no one has my card or bank info except me.
