I contacted Newlife poodles through a form their website because they did not provide any other form of contact on there (i.e. phone number, email). They responded to me by email about a puppy I was interested in. They gave me some information on the puppy with photos. I emailed them back asking about the pricing and where they were located. They told me with shipping to my home the puppy would cost $665 and they require a deposit of $350 plus the shipping cost of $115. I asked if I could speak to someone by phone and they called me back at my number that I provided in the online form. In the e-mails they stated they were located in Little Rock, Arkansas but never gave an exact address. The caller ID on my phone said the call was coming from Alexandria, Indiana. The gentleman stated his name was "Mr. Jeffrey" and he proceeded to tell me about the puppy and the process as if he was reading from a paper. He had a very heavy accent. It also sounded as if the call was coming from overseas because it sounded so distant. I make calls overseas so I know what they sound like. When I asked about payment and how the deposit was to be given, Mr. Jeffrey said that it could ONLY be money order or money gram. I wanted to give him a credit card and he said that they cannot accept it because they systems were down. I thought that, along with the information online (or lack thereof), and the information from the e-mails sounded like a scam so I simply said that I would think about it and get back to them. He proceeded to read again that I need to make a choice now and send the money because the puppy would no longer be available later. I said that I still would have to think about it and that I would be in contact and hung up. If you look at the website - www.newlifepoodles.com - there are typos in the website as well as the emails I received. They never even addressed who was writing the emails at the end of the message. They just signed it "Newlife Poodles".

This business offers small poodles for sale. Requests money in advance which includes all costs and delivery and then fails to ship the dog despite pretending to do so even including a tracking number. Within the shipping process which of course never happened, they claim the sudden need to purchase a $1200 insulated crate the vet has ordered despite never warning us of this and stating up front there are no special shipping issues in a heated cargo bay.
