On October 8, 2020, I ordered 2 items for an expensive trial--nootropic brain supplements. When I checked out, I was charged for 3 items. They were each only about $6, so I let it go through. I received the items. Then today, October 25, 2020, I received an alert from my bank that my account had been charged $89.82 by CMR Creativity Boos, which when I searched, turns out to be Nootropic Tech. The charge went through, and I have pressed a fraud claim with my bank, Wells Fargo.

Offered to sell a bottle of memory boost pills for Shipping and Handling fee of 7$. I provided my info and cc and unchecked the box asking me if I wanted to make more purchases or subscribe to newletters. About 10 days later I had a charge on my checking account I did not recognize. I called my bank and they provided a website which did not work and no phone number was provided. After contacting a company on google that did show up, they told me they get a lot of complaints from this company and gave me the website info which does list contact info. I called the number and gave them my email address and zip code and my name , they did mention that i made a 7$ purchase a couple weeks before, they said i agreed to a subscription and that what i paid was only shipping and handling and that I owed them 90$ for the product i received, which I assure you only initial said to pay 7$ for S&H. Now they are offering me 40$ off the next product as a way of making it good. I told them i did not purchase anything other than the 7$ purchase and I want my 90$ back and the chinese lady kept telling me multiple stories. I ended up hanging up. This company is absolute fraud and these pills dont even do anything. I am an [censored] for paying the 7$ but what they did by charging my credit card 90$ for a fake subscription that i never agreed to is definitely illegal. I bought 2 bottles of pills so they actually got me twice , one charge said Mind Brand Mem and the other Gold Puzzles M.

Mind Tech [aka nootropic tech] offers a "Get Your Risk Free Trial" of their "Brain Pill" and displays "Get Your Risk Free Trial" multiple times on their web pages [ https://nootropictech.com/promo/dlx/index.php?affId=49D9E7A1&c1=212348&c... ] and everywhere you are asked to provide your personal and credit card information to pay "shipping and handling" to "Get Your Risk Free Trial".

NOWHERE on these pages do they display that their "Free Sample/Risk Free Trial" is a 14-day limited "Trial PERIOD" [for a 30-day bottle] during which you are required to "Cancel" in order NOT to be Billed $89.94 indefinitely to receive their pills on a monthly subscription.

The "Special Offer" internet ad to "click on" says "CLICK HERE to Claim Your Free Sample of MindTech -- Free Samples are limited. -- CLAIM YOUR BOTTLE TODAY ! " can be found on -- " https://latest-celebnews.com/brainsharkmind/sharkbrain.html ". The ad "Clearly" says "Free Samples" and NOT "Free Trial PERIOD".

The only disclosure that they want to consider their "Free Trial" or "Free Sample of MindTech' -- for which you are required to use a Credit Card to pay for "shipping and handling" -- to be a "Purchase" or SALE of their product -- is at the bottom of the web page where you can "click on" [ Terms & Conditions ] which displays a "pop up" that states, in part,

"Terms of Sale

Last modified: October 30, 2018

PLEASE PRINT AND RETAIN A COPY FOR YOUR RECORDS

THESE TERMS OF USE AND CONDITIONS OF SALE FORM A LEGALLY BINDING AGREEMENT (“AGREEMENT”) BETWEEN YOU (“YOU”) AND MindTech (“MindTech ” OR “US”) AND SHOULD BE READ CAREFULLY.

THIS AGREEMENT GOVERNS YOUR PURCHASE OF ANY MindTech PRODUCT (“PRODUCT”)."

I would think that most would NOT consider paying the cost for "shipping and handling" to receive a Free Sample or Free Trial -- to BE A PURCHASE or SALE of a product.

Regardless, after receiving a "Fraud Alert" about a "Declined Charge" from my Credit Card provider, I contacted MindTech Customer Service and after some lengthy discussion they agreed to "Cancel" by "Subscription", not charge for my "Free/Sample Trial", and promised to send a confirmation of cancellation email.

In a sense, you "could" say that their "Brain Pills" DID lead to making me "smarter".

Hello Nootropictech,

I had ordered your 30 day free trial of MindTech and CBDTech Capsules. I was very disappointed to discover at the bottom of the page, after I had paid for shipping, that I had actually enrolled in a subscription of over $80.00 per month. I am very disappointed that this “enrollment” was never mentioned prior to paying for the shipping of the FREE Trial.

When I called the number given to cancel my subscription AT ANY TIME, the number given 1-888-717-8578, claimed to not have any association with your company. I was given the number 1-888-915-4174 as the new number to call by the auto-answer service. I was then given the number 1-888-915-4179, by an actual person at the 1-888-915-8578 number. When I called the 1-888-915-4179 number they were too busy to answer my call. When I called the 1-888-915-4174 number I did talk to a live person.

When I expressed my frustration about your sales techniques and requested my “subscription” be cancelled immediately, they did not want to comply with my request. They did offer me a discount, and did tell me once I received my FREE Trials, I could jump through all of the hoops, like mail back the bottles..., and THEN I could cancel my “subscription”. So, it appears, the CANCEL AT ANY TIME by CALLING (a wrong number) statement is not accurate.

I also tried to get names of the companies I was talking to, and the company they represented. I got the first name of the individual I talked to originally, Kate, but no one else was willing to provide any names. When a person, or company, is not even willing to give out their name, that says a lot, and none of it good.

Eventually, I was told that my “order/subscription” XXXXXXXX has been cancelled, as I was unwilling to accept a discount, or having to mail items back... in order to get out of a monthly “subscription” I was never told about.

I will be passing on my experience with your company, with everyone I can (my credit card company and the ScamPulse.com being the first 2). I can only guess that your product(s) do not work, or you would not have to go to such lengths to mislead people into buying them.
