Last Monday, I received a phone call at my work telling me they were with OG&E Billing & Collections. They knew our OG&E account number and the dollar amounts of the last two payments/arrangements I had made just the Friday before. I was told the payment did not go through and that the arrangement I made (both done through OG&E's automated customer service number) had not been approved. After arguing this was not right, he gave me an 800# to call to speak with OG&E's billing department. I called it and the woman on the other end "verified" all the gentleman had told me. I was told I could not make a payment through the usual channels that would log in time to stop our service shut off. They both said we would have to use their Express pay system used by the utility companies - would need to purchase 2 prepaid Visa or Mastercard cards to pay both accounts in full now. We went as far as buying 1 card when the lady at the checkout said we couldn't purchase a 2nd one and asked are you sure you're talking to OG&E. I called every number on our bill and no one could find any problems with it. They almost got us for around $800.

these people call claiming to oge and say your account is past due and have download an app on your phone calledcash app to pay your bill and get your credit card info. Then they will tell it didnt work and you 30 min to pay the bill or your power will be turned off. so they tell you to go to the dollar store and buy green got money pack cards to pay your bill. This is a hoax. Oge DOES NOT call you to pay your bill. they will mail you your bill. They then called me back using oge's phone number! They took me for $3,000.00. In the end when i figured them out the lady started cussing me.

Caller was a man with a foreign accent. He stated he was with OG&E and that a truck would be here tomorrow to cut off the electric. He asked to speak to the account holder. He verified the address and the business name and said we needed to call 1-800-953-6211 with a reference #. I called OG&E customer service # from my bill just to verify I had a zero balance. The representative stated that they have had multiple calls regarding this scam.

We received a phone call and the caller id said OGE and had the correct phone number for the company. They told us that we had two months past due bills and if we didn't pay our electricity at our business location would be shut off in the next 45 minutes. The man was requesting payment over the phone. It sounded like a call center in another country.
