I looked up "HP Customer Support" on my phone to get the Customer Support number for HP so I could get support on my laptop. The website says "www.onarmour.com/Hp-support and provided a number to call. After calling them, they answered and said that they were HP customer support multiple times. After explaining my problem and only receiving ONE option to help me, they told me that my warranty expired in 2014 (which is false, my warranty is still active), and that I needed to pay $179.99 for the problem to be fixed and provide me with 30 days of warranty, OR I could pay $229.99 and get the problem fixed and get lifetime warranty. After adamantly telling me that I have "3 Types of warranties: Hardware, Software, and Manufacturer" and that my software warranty expired, and my hardware warranty also expired, I asked about a manufacturer warranty, and they told me they couldn't use that warranty either because it expired too (even though they told me that the manufacturer warranty lasts "4-5 years"). They were well aware that I had advanced warranty options but refused to help me with them and said that it also expired (which is incorrect). After being disrespectfully spoken to for about 15 minutes, and multiple attempts to be moved to a manager, they tried to charge me for the transfer to a manager as well. I was finally connected to a manager, and his explanation was much more different from his "partner" (but just as inaccurate with the statements that were thrown around) and then eventually we hung up and I managed to find the actual number for HP customer support. I inquired about what branch of their company the other number was linked to (the scammer's number was 855-955-6999) and they told me they were very confused and that the number i told them is not affiliated with them in any way shape or form. After checking with the ACTUAL hp, they told me that my warranty was NOT expired yet, and that they could fix everything free of charge, as usual. I'm not sure how this "onarmour.com" managed to make it appear that they are affiliated with HP, but when I looked up "www.onarmour.com/HP-Support" (The website that was included right above the number) It said that that section did not even exist. After delving deeper into their website, it appears that they are a scam website that uses key terms over and over again to increase their hits or something along those lines and use very generic information to try and deceive the readers. They also tried to use Microsoft's terms and agreements when I was on call with the scammer, and they told me that it was my fault that the computer broke following the terms, and that they would need to charge me money to fix it AGAIN. At that point, I finally hung up and found the real number. IF this was not a scam (which seems doubtful) the company is falsely posing as HP based on when i called them, and their complete lack of explanation as to who they actually are and who they are affiliated with is appalling, and I am extremely dissatisfied with their complete lack of communication and deception that they gave me throughout the entirety of the phone call.
