Similar to what most people are saying I wasted many hours and waking up at 7:30 every morning to talk to this guy. Gilbert Lacey. At first they said they needed to send me a check for office supplies and they mail it to me, when something did get mailed but got delayed in Greeley and I never received it. He then wanted to email me a check which the first check he emailed me wasn’t even made out to me. Which there were many different names used that weren’t mine on emails sent and documents which I thought was odd. I started doing research as well as asking my mom and found this website with people with the same experiences as me. I am 5 months pregnant which I made him aware of due to it being the reason I wanted remote and yet he still tried to get 1,800$ out of someone who needs that money dearly for the life I’m bringing into the world. I never printed it or cashed it in, I’m gonna send him a piece of my mind over Skype, and hope no one falls for this.
Waste of my time

I was offered a job and then sent a fake check. Email contacts include [email protected], and [email protected],

My experience was the same, only they made me connect through Microsoft teams. Today I received a mail from [email protected], where he tells me about an interview with Jayden Lacey (([email protected]), the rest is the same, two hours lost in an "interview", a whole scam.
special attention with:
-Email addresses and domain names that don't match.
-Unusual content or request – these often involve a transfer of funds or requests for login credentials.
-Urgency – ACT NOW, IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED

A few days ago, a guy named Larry Lacey reached out to me saying he found my resume on CareerBuilder and offered me a job. He offered to pay me 35/hr for a customer service job (right off the bat I knew it was fake). Any info he told me about the company, he copied and pasted it straight from the website. He also said they would provide the money to get the equipment (which was very weird). I did some research about the company on my own and immediately found a few reviews saying this exact person was scamming multiple people. Thank God I did some research before I leaked any of my social security and back info. MAKE SURE YALL DO YOUR RESEARCH ON ANY COMPANY YOU APPLY TO. Please make sure it’s legit. If it sounds too good to be true, it most likely is. If anyone has any idea on how I can prevent this guy from scamming anymore people, that’ll be fantastic. Stay safe out there!

I pretty much had the same experience. I spent three hours on an online interview via Microsoft Teams. Everything seemed normal until the end when he said they needed me to purchase all this software and supplies for my home office. They would send me a check, I need to deposit the check and then take out the cash the next day to pay their vendor. This seems fishy to me. I asked why they don’t just pay their vendor directly? He stated this was to make sure I was trustworthy to use their funds. I’m so glad I found this site as I was having trouble looking to see if this was legitimate. The company is based in India. I did email the actual company and asked about them having a branch in the US. When you look up Orchid Pharm in NJ (where the recruiter and this Robbins James said they were located) it does come up, however it shows the site is not owned. I just don’t understand the point of this scam.

I was contacted via text from Mr. Larry Lacey to work part-time online from home for the company Orchid Pharma LTD. He got my resume from Careerbuilder.com website. We started chatting via Skype where he was telling me about the company, what I will be doing, and what the company will provide to me the necessary Softwares (about 26 of them), working materials, and equipment I would need to set up a mini office. They issued to me a check in the amount of $4,900 dollars for me to purchase the softwares and equipment. When I took the check to my bank (not theirs) to deposit it, the teller ran it through a machine to make sure that it was valid and the bank manager at that time stated that the check is a scam/fraud and that if I were to attempt to deposit it; I would be held responsible for such a large amount of money and I would go to jail. When I skyped Mr. Lacey about what was going on with the check, and I told him what the bank manager had stated to me that the check is a scam/fraud (he assured me that it wasn't a scam). Unfortunately, the check was a scam/fraud and also the company Orchid Pharma LTD. This company is based in India (International) not in the US. I will never, ever do this again. I thought that this company was legit for real but unfortunately not. My warning to those who get offers by any international companies run away do not apply to them. They are a scam.

Orchid Pharma is not the only one. These fraudsters are using the name of CapGemini, AstraZeneca, and other companies that are based in the US. I have received 3 emails from the same person claiming to be from CapGemini. Her name is Deborah Fellows. I called the Chicago office and they looked in the Global directory and she also said she was the one that wrote the warning on the company's website about phishing scams. I also reported them to the FTC.I have also received the Orchid Pharma one. But I caught that one. Once you go thru this a time or two, it becomes easy to identify the phishing scams from the legit job offers. I am sticking to applying directly on Indeed and Careerbuilder and such sites and then making sure the contacts that reach out to me are companies I actually applied to.

My experience was the same, only they made me connect through Microsoft teams. Today I received a mail from [email protected], where he tells me about an interview with Jayden Lacey (([email protected]), the rest is the same, two hours lost in an "interview", a whole scam.

They offered me a job as well and told me to go buy 200$ worth of Apple Card’s and it would be reimbursed with the check they sent me. However, the check is fake!

They sent me a check that was refused by my bank as they saw it was a fake check.
