I got a phone call from a person wanting to know how my back was doing. Since I do have lower back problems the person on the phone said she was going to send me a back brace. My insurance would cover the cost. They knew my name, ask me to verify my mailing address, which I did. They then ask if I had the red white and blue Medicare card, which I don't have. I have Humana Medicare through where I retired from. She asked me to verify my Humana card member ID#, which I did. I wasn't asked for any financial payment information. She said I would be getting a verification call back...which I never did. After I hung up I called the phone number back and it was an attorneys office. I told them about this and they were not to concerned. I then called my insurance company and they said there is a scam an I probably would get a back brace but not to open the package and send it back and ask for a receipt. She said there was not a charge for asking the postal worked for a receipt of return the package.
