On January 28, 2023, my company Global Models Talent received a casting for a photoshoot concerning the brands Adidas and Kenzo. The individual James Warren stated that he wanted models' photo sent to him to select. He selected one of our male models via Fedex adding up to $9540.00 USD. The funds were to be distributed as follows: $8000 to the talent, and $1540 was to be sent back to the stylist with a copy of our bank deposit receipt. When the checks arrived and were called in to Citibank N.A. the bank they had written on, it was confirmed they were bogus. The check was written on a company check called John Hancook Life Insurance Company. The routing numbers were checked, and they do not match any of the numbers in the Citibank portfolio. The routing number is 5633204. Please note the information attached. Mr. James Warren was contacted immediately to remediate the matter by asking him to clarify the circumstances. Currently his response is pending.

I found their model job listing on social media. I sent them an email and then they responded back with info about the job. They sent me a check advance and when I deposited it into my account, that's when things started to get really iffy. They had sent me a text stating it should have cleared and to check with my bank to make sure it was ready for use. I contacted my bank and they informed me that the check had bounced. I got back with them and it was this long text string back and forth of how I thought the situation would be remedied. In this I felt they manipulated me into giving over my social security number and bank info. Once that was done they requested I send $*** for the stylist to start working. I sent payment via Venmo. Once I finally felt that things may have been fixed they sent a text stating they needed a photo of my debit card immediately. That's when I truly felt they were scamming me. They tried to gaslight me into giving over that info. I stopped communicating with them at that point, but I am now out *** and they have my other personal info

Lindsey, if that's her real name, met us for pictures, took our money, took the pictures, but we never got our pictures or a refund. It was excuse after excuse. These were my wife's pregnancy pictures. I have recently learned there are hundreds of others that she has scammed.

I own a photography company and I have been noticing a scam going around. Basically you receive a text message from a "potential customer" about a job with a family reunion. They create a sense like they are going to book you. If you follow it through they start talking about an event coordinator or planner. They ask if they can pay you by credit card. If you say yes, they tell you their event coordinator will not accept payment by credit card and ask if you would mind adding the coordinator's fee to your bill and the customer will pay you if you pay the event coordinator. I believe they are just looking for credit card information and that if the photographer paid the event coordinator they would never receive that money back.
