They advertise rehome for puppy, so I paid them in advance, but they ask more deposit for sending puppy by airplane. After I sent payment, no one return my call or email. I didn't get my money back for $1,500. Now they change phone number and email address, and their website still showing same information for each puppy.

I had a very similar experience to the above story! I came across Poety, and like the story above, I thought they were a legitimate website with legitimate information about the dogs! I inquired about a dog named “Gray,” they emailed back saying all dogs are 50% off, which resulted the puppies costing $650 for the puppy and delivery Fee, since they had “shipping coupons.” They said all puppies are 50% off because they are expecting new litters next month and it would minimize the work load! The 2nd email they sent asked for my personal info for the adoption form and shipment! I responded asking if I could give that info over the phone because I didn’t feel comfortable giving that through email. I never heard back from that email! So, I decided to call! They operate through WhatsApp, and I tried calling their WhatsApp #, no one picked up! I messaged the # on WhatsApp asking if I could speak to someone and potentially FaceTime “Gray.” They responded, “no FaceTime thanks.” I responded by asking if there was at all any chance I could speak to anyone about this dog, and they finally responded saying they would call me when they weren’t busy... I gave up! I will say, I received pictures of Gray from their first email and I received a video of Gray in WhatsApp, BUT they practically refused to speak to me over the phone, and demanded they need my info first! Lastly, my mom also inquired about a Poety puppy, named Layla! They sent her the exact same email they sent me, but replaced Gray’s name with Layla’s name AND when they emailed my mom again, they sent her the exact same 2nd email they sent me except they forgot to replace the names! Needless to say, they are most definitely a scam! Luckily, my mom and I did not give them any info or money, but please be careful of this website and these scammers!

OMG! I just emailed them, thank goodness I didn't include too much personal information other than phone number and general location. I am so so so glad I came across this forum. I too was inquiring about Gray!

Hello. I recently purchased an 11 week old cavachon, Roy, believing that the website met all the legal requirements for breeders. The initial emails I received were very descriptive and included photos and videos, which ensured me that this was not a scam. The breeder let me know in the email that there was a 50% discount at $650 because they did not have enough time anymore and were receiving a new batch soon. Although I tried to reach them through the phone which was located in Las Vegas, NV, the line would not put me on hold. Although I had suspicions, I still proceeded with the payment with the desire of wanting a dog and naively believing the convincing messages. They asked for payment through CashApp, but because the transfer wasn't working on my end, the breeder asked for Zelle transfer. Once I wired the money, the breeder's tone of voice in the email changed. The grammatical errors were more evident and the breeder refused my request to speak on the phone. The breeder continued to block off additional questions regarding Roy, with sending the repeated message along the lines of, "Rest assured. We will safely deliver Roy to your home (from Orlando, FL). Don't worry," without answering my initial questions regarding vaccinations, temperament, etc. Because my suspicions grew, I had asked my friend to send an email requesting to purchase the same dog. The breede responded with the same email template, stating that Roy was available...

Our family was looking to purchase a new puppy. I found this website and reached out to the breeder through the website form for more information and to see if the puppies were still available. I received a return message the next day stating that the puppy we liked was in fact available. The puppy was much less expensive than other similar dogs, but they had a very convincing story about why it was cheaper. They asked many of the typical questions a breeder asks and seemed very convincing. I asked more pictures of that particular puppy. Since the price was so low, I also asked for pictures of two other puppies on the website to ensure they were not just using stock photos of dogs on their site. I received very convincing pictures of several other puppies in a home and a car that looked very convincing. I was then asked to purchase the dog using the Cash app. I have not bought a puppy in 7 years, so I did not think this was an odd way to pay since I use this app to pay friends back for meals, etc. I paid the $650, and then sent a screenshot of the confirmation to them via e-mail. We then arranged for the dog to be delivered via a shipping service. I received reassurance from the breeder that the puppy would be fine through the shipping process as I had some reservations about shipping a puppy. We decided that today, Thursday June 18 would be the day for her to arrive. As the day got closer and closer, I really started to get a funny feeling about the breeder. I kept sending e-mails asking for more information about the shipping company. I asked questions about what type of food the puppy had been eating, etc. The responses back were all very vague. Then last night I decided to take a closer look at the website because it just didn't feel right. I did a reverse google search of the dogs on the website and found that all of them brought up a different breed when searched despite them being presented as all puppies from the same litter. Then today we received communication from the supposed shipping company Ocean Logistics. I immediately looked up their website. It was covered in spelling mistakes, did not mention dog shipping, and when links were clicked, a clear website template language was present. Then a few hours before the puppy was due to arrive, I received an email stating they needed $1300 immediately through the Cash app because they were missing the correct US Pet Insurance documentation. The email stated that we could face fines and up to 5 years in jail for animal abuse for not paying the fee. The fee would supposedly be refunded in full when the puppy arrived. No money was paid as the email itself was full of contradictions and cited a law passed by the House of Commons, which is clearly part of the British parliament. I immediately requested a refund through the Cash app for the original $650, but the refund was denied. They used the tag $RobertBilow on the Cash App.

My wife found website offering dog pups for adoption: poetycavachonpups.com. The site looks well organized, with genuine info. I contacted them via email. After several email exchanges, they seemed like a genuine adoption agency. They sent me a contract to sign, and I paid them the agreed amount of $600 via PayPal. They said they currently have 4 coupons from some vendor that allow them to ship the dog free of charge. They listed many details related to dog's well being, transportation, vaccinations, future care, etc. Their contract also includes these aspects. However, on the day of the delivery, we received email asking to pay additional $1500 for insurance and some other services, and the dog would not be delivered until this was paid. This was not mentioned anywhere before, nor in the contract. I started doing some research online and I found petscams.com that list the organized crime techniques which we just have failed for. I also researched the seller address listed in the contract, and it seems to be completely bogus. Not to mention the phone number is from Las Vegas (but it's not uncommon for people to have cell phones with completely different area codes). After few more email exchanges, the person actually called me back from 7258679031. He said they will not deliver the dog if I don't pay the additional $1500. This is obviously a scam. For the payment I made them, they refused to use any credit cards. They were asking to pay them by gift cards or digicoin. I did not like that, so eventually, they settled on PayPal. I now opened a dispute on paypal. The money was sent via PayPal to [email protected]. Although the name on the contract is Stefan Colden.

My 10 year old daughter is emotionally devastated as she already fell emotionally attached to the puppy we were supposed to receive.

They advertise for puppy for rehoming fee of $600, but they used another fake shipping company to ask you pay refundable deposit.

However, both of them neglect responding after they get money. They never sent puppy or refund. No response after payment made from both website.

is this true
