- Santa Ana, CA, USA

The person, named Charlie, called me on my home business phone stating that my Southern California Edison account had been past due multiple times and that the power was going to be shut off today at 4pm (he called just before 3pm, I'm assuming to create the sense of urgency and so that I wouldn't look into it and that I would just pay it). He stated that because of the past due payments (I had been past due once but couldn't remember if there were other times, but I was doubtful) there was as security deposit required and that it would need to be paid in cash or by another immediate means. It was not payable by check or online. He then proceeded to direct me to Express Payment locations that were inside Walmart stores in the area to get a Moneygram to make the payment and instructed me to call him once I got there so that I may fill out the form with him on the phone.

After I got his contact information, I hung up and called Edison to verify my account standing and everything was fine. It was also strange because he called my home business phone which is not connected to my utilities accounts.

Name: Charlie

Phone that they called from and that he instructed me to call: 714-610-7443 ext 332
