Primitive Survivors Reports & Reviews (2)

Early February,

I answered a survey for my current employer through a Pop Up. I thought it was legitimate as it was made to look official with my company logo. For answering the survey I was rewarded with a choice of several FREE gifts for my input and I only had to pay $4.95 for shipping and handling. I selected a flashlight. I completed the survey and FREE gift offer process and a charge on my credit card for $4.95 . I believedi would have a $4.95 charge as this is what I was aware I would be charged. However, weeks later I received a charge of $49.99 on my credit card from a company called Primitive Survivors. I called the company and they wouldn't reverse the charges. They said these charges were mentioned in the terms and conditions. I did not see you there were no "Terms and Conditions" displayed in the online survey and it was not clear that it was a “trial” period! I never authorized a $49.99 charge from Primitive Survivors. I am shocked at this scam as I am a very savvy consumer and would never "agree" to pay $49.99 for a flashlight and would not have even taken the survey for such an offer other than the FREE GIFT. Not only this charge, I was told a I bought a second flashlight for $34.95! I did not agree to this and it is clear this is a nefarious scam to gleam money! This company needs to be investigated and the advertising web based scheme should be taken down!

I received a e-mail from this company about a free flashlight. Paid $9.99 for shipping. They also offered for free for purchasing the light z 5-in-1 Survival Bracelet. I used my Capital One credit card to make the purchase. I received an e-mail from them for the order. The bill was suppose to be only $9.99. They also charged me a $1.00 for the bracelet which was suppose to be free. Well the other day I went online to pay my Capital one monthly payment and noticed two other charges of $14.95. I called the above company about the charges and was told this was my monthly membership fee. This info was on the web page. I did not notice this. The print must have been micro small. I did authorize.joining a club with no actual benefits for me. I promptly cancelled. This was there way of collecting a fee for the free flashlight. I think this is very deceptive way of doing business. I called Capital One and disputed the two charges of $14.95. The charges have been removed and the club membership has been cancelled. Buyer beware, what a scam. Also, the free flashlight stopped functioning after about five days. What a piece of junk.
