[email protected] & Resume-Experts.com appear to be connected...

"Hi [redacted],

I am still having trouble uploading your resume, I asked my colleague and apparently, it is a common issue. He instructed me to ask you to get a free resume review from https://resume-experts.com/ and see if you can identify and fix the problem.

We can open the file without any issues but the problem is with the way information in your resume is structured and formatting used which is resulting in a lot of missing information in experience fields when your resume is parsed by the candidate management systems. Please check your resume and try fixing the issue so we don’t have to manually type everything in our candidate tracking system.

For reasons of confidentiality and non-disclosure, I am not able to share any details of the vacancy or company with you at this time, unfortunately. However, we have a meeting scheduled with the client today by EoD, and I would love to discuss the opportunity with you in detail after that.

I will be available for a call any time tomorrow. Simply reply to this email and let me know the time that suits you best and I will give you a call to discuss the next steps and, in the meantime, please try to get your resume issue fixed so our timing is not affected.

I look forward to speaking with you.

Best Regards,

Pretty much same as everyone else! I was contacted first by David, I sent my resume and then David responded saying Steven will get back to me. I then googled the company and couldn't find much so got suspicious. Today, Steven got back to me asking for me to resend my resume. I googled again and fortunately found this website! I'm annoyed I shared my personal info but glad people are reporting this scam so others can be aware!

I also received the exact same set of emails from "David" and "Steven". Initially, I thought it was legit, and I even signed up for the $10 review of my resume, because what the heck, it's only ten bucks. But when the "review" came back, and they wanted me to spend $135 for reformatting, I got suspicious, searched on Private Equity Corp scams and found this site, along with another good article on recruiter scammers in general. I checked my online credit card first thing the next morning and saw a $10 charge from PayPal in a Pending status. So I called PayPal to report the scam. They told me they had no prior history of complaint on Private Equity Corp, but after a few questions, they immediately opened an inquiry to investigate. I also told them of the trap that was set by resume-review.com to get additional funds (which I did not do), and they said they would check their records back a few months to see how many charges they processed for both groups. A few hours later I received an email with a notice they were cancelling the charge on my card. So if you make the mistake of believing these [censored], call PayPal. They should already be flagging these transactions.

'Executive Level Opportunities' SOUNDS LIKE A SCAM!

+11

Same as other post, except late p.m.

+6

This business, which was formerly known as "Executive Pro Recruiting" --- with the same 917 phone number, pretends they are an executive search firm. They ask for a resume, claim it has "formatting issues" and then refer you to a paid site that will "format" the resume properly. This is a scam. There are no job leads and they are not legitimate recruiters -- it is simply a scam to get candidates to pay for unecessary resume formatting services. Do NOT engage with these fraudsters. They have no presence on LinkedIn or Twitter and only a fake website.

+13

Same as shared by the previous victim. I was contacted with the same story line and then within the process I was asked to go to https://resume-experts.com/and fix my resume so it can better populate their candidate database. Total scam and waste of time… privateequitycorp… they have their own website and it’s unbelievable that something like this can happen so openly without any law enforcement agency arresting these people.
Scam

+5

I strongly believe this is a scam. Got an email at 5:54am this morning, claiming the person found my profile on LinkedIn and his company has been retained to conduct a search for exec level roles. I could not find this person or his company on LinkedIn. I googled them and found a website with an address and non-working number in NY. I emailed back saying lets connect on LinkedIn and did not share my resume or any private information.
