Scammed and Heartbroken

Found an ad in the newspaper for Maine c o o n kittens for sale with phone number for inquiries called the number, and they were slow to respond at first then as soon as we showed real interest they blew the text up then sent and email with a link to their cattery Colo Maine [censored] with all the available kittens chose the one we wanted and was informed of the price of our choice it was a male, so I knew it was gonna be more was informed that deposit needed to be Zelle which we did $400 and a screenshot of transaction then once they received it discussed delivery date we found out, so they say that they were in Jacksonville, FL, so we offered to pick up cat ourselves since we would be going through Jacksonville on our way back from vacation suddenly they were unavailable they only did personal pick up on Tuesday and Thursday, and we would already be back to work by then, so we agreed they would deliver on Friday kept communication going until day of delivery then crickets till Saturday when a family emergency arose, and they hired a delivery company to deliver him $400 more and the delivery company they told me was called terminal animal movers still no delivery then received a call from Robert (not his real name more like Mohammed) who said he was from Dream Ex-Logistic who were hired to bring us our kitty still no kitty final text from them after me blowing up their phone and email told me to Calm Down my cat was on route via deliver Guess what 3 weeks later No Kitten and fraud charges were filed with police and my bank wire fraud.. Be alert there are scammed everywhere, and the said thing is my friend was messaging them asking about a cat and was interested in the one I put a deposit on, and they told her it was available that she knew very well was not that is when I knew for sure I was had $800 mistake live an learn have tons of text and emails.

Pure Maine Coon Cattery Scam

I made a deposit and signed the contract w/ Sabrina on 05/24/22 for their kitten "Madara" and sent money through a Zelle payment, once they received the money they promised that the kitten would be shipped on 05/31/22 after recovering from being fixed. Sabrina requested that I send the money through Zelle to her husband "Thomas Kultof" at [email protected] with a screenshot that the payment went through. Day after day no update for the kitten's flight itinerary & details. Everytime I requested the flight information they kept avoiding me. The communication via email was very prompt until they received the deposit, it then tapered off and took days for her to reply, I also kept asking for updated photos of the kitten and to communicate over the phone but anytime I tried texting Sabrina she would never reply to my text and would only reply to my email which was very delayed. The kitten was promised to be shipped with a pet nanny on 5/31 and advised that I would need to purchase a heated pet carrier for the kitten to stay warm. I tried emailing 5-6 more times for updates on the kitten and the flight info and she has not replied and has now completely ghosted me.

Purchase kitten and sent money through Zelle, once received the kitten was supposed to be shipped. Day after day no kitten and was promised it was shipping the next day. Claimed the kitten had already left but it had not. Stated they would call and did not and now promising to return my money after I filed a report with the FBI but I have still not seen it. The kittens remain the same age on the website on the price has increased over the last 3 weeks.

Matthew sent me an email about the kitten I was interested in. Said she was a sweet kitten and wanted it to have a good home. He sent extra pictures too. Also said he'd ship her for free and a Vet would accompany her. Then he sent me a contract that looked legit. I signed it and sent it back. Then he asked for payment of 642.00. Gave us options of PayPal, money order, check. We did PayPal. He wanted a picture taken of transaction and emailed to him. He said the kitten would sent in 8 hrs, but then said she can't get on a flight till 5 pm next day. Then they will deliver her in the morning. I emailed him that we can pick her up at the airport so she doesn't need to stay the night. He didn't respond. The next day he replied he'll tell the agency. Then he later asked for us to release the PayPal Payment and take another screenshot. I then asked to see a picture of the kitten now. I never heard back.
