Remington Logistics Services LLC Reports & Reviews (2)

I received an email stating that they received my resume through indeed and would like for me to join their team. They begin off with sending you a fake job description with of your responsibilities. After you agree they tell you it will be a 14 day trail period. Which you will get paid for, however they ask that you send a picture of yourself along with the sign contract back to them. This didn’t sound right I didn’t go any further. They continue to email me asking me have I made a decision almost like pressure. I sent an email stating I decline. I realize it was a scam when I tried to research reviews from others and the company didn’t never appeared.

I got an email from Edma Lima, HR Manager at Remington Logistics Service, offering me a job as Finance Assistant after supposedly finding my resume at indeed.com (even though I'm in Canada and my account is at indeed.ca, and I never applied for them). The job details, pay, and benefits seemed attractive so I responded back telling her that I am interested to know more. She then sent me another email with an attached Word file of the Job Description for Payment Manager - Inbound Operations. I sent her a few questions regarding remote work as it said on their website that they are in Texas, USA and BC, Canada, while I am in Ontario, and she said that only the 14-day paid training will be remote then I'll have to meet up with someone in my area afterwards to make the arrangements if I'll do remote or will have to report to an office nearby. She then sent me another file, the 2-page Labour Agreement (with CEO Aaron A. Bischof's printed name and signature on the 2nd page) asking for personal details such as full name, birthday, full address, phone number, email address, signature, to be sent back to her with one ID and a picture of me holding the signed paperwork. I wasn't comfortable to send them personal information and sign anything right away as it felt that she was being too pushy and wasn't directly answering my questions, the grammar mistakes are also very evident, and the offer seemed too good to be true. I Googled the company, Edma Lima, and Aaron Bischof, searched everywhere and there is nothing aside from the company website that they provided, remingtonlg.com, where they say that they have "12 years of experienced" (yup, with a D), "200 project done" (yup, no S, maybe it's just one project called 200? lol), "120 employees", "100 regular partners". If it's all true, it is suspicious why Google won't show anything about them, they are not in Indeed and in BBB, Google maps would only show 550 Burrard St with other unit numbers, nothing for #510. I requested for a video or phone call at least, and this was the response that I got:

"You will definitely have an interview!

Due to the large number of new candidates and based on the experience that we have gained over the past 5 months, the company management decided not to conduct an interview until the signing of the “Labor Agreement” for several reasons:

- Too much big expense of human resources (operators).

- Negligent attitude of potential candidates to opportunities.

- Further ineffective of a potential candidate.

- The interview contains some details of the training, it is inappropriate to tell this to non-interested people.

- The decline in efficiency.

We prepared a test, a training for all candidates.

We provide all candidates with a trial period, after you familiarize with the position and we evaluate you for this position, and if all the criteria will meet our requirements, we will schedule a personal interview for you.

To do this, you need to fill out and send the "Labor Agreement"

This agreement necessary for a paid trial period of 14 days we provide you.

You can ask me all the questions you are interested in (position, new branches, work, etc.).

Best regards,

Edna Lima"

Edma Lima has sent me another email this morning reminding me of the paperwork that I'd need to send back. I don't intend to respond and further waste my time on them. I have a feeling that the next info that she'll ask for will be the bank information, so they can supposedly send the payment for the 14-day training. Damn these scammers who don't have better things to do. I hope that their website will be taken down, they'll be caught, so they won't be able to scam people anymore.
