Renewal Support Reports & Reviews (6)

On September 14, 2021, I received an email from this entity with the subject " SAM renewal due - Binghamton Philharmonic Inc." This led me to believe that my registration for SAM.gov, a clearinghouse for federal grantseekers, was about to expire, so I opened the email to read for more details. They copy the logo of SAM.gov was even incorporated into the body of the email to look legitimate. However, when I clicked on the link in said email, it asked for my card information, and gave me rates ranging from $499 to $999 to pay for a supposed renewal. I ignored it but since received another email dated September 22, 2021, with the subject "Final notice- SAM renewal due- Binghamton Philharmonic Inc." To make extra sure, I checked my company's registration status on SAM.gov and learned that we are not up for renewal until January 26, 2022. This is definitely a scam.

On Sep 15 2020, I received an email from this company, claiming to be Sam.gov and using their logo. I called the number listed to update our entity registration, and was mislead that this company was the government agency, and that there was no other way for me to update my registration than to pay the $400.

I later found out from Sam.gov that this was a scam, and that Sam.gov does not charge for its entity registration renewals. I made several attempts to contact the number listed, as well as emailed the representative I spoke with, and was never able to reach them.

They reached out a couple of days ago, saying that they were going to renew our registration using the same card. When I was finally able to get ahold of them, I requested a reimbursement for the scam done last year. They refused to reimburse me, and tried showing documentation of my agreement with their services. However, I never signed any of the documents they provided. The representative is the one who forged my agreement. I gave verbal consent to the charge, but my consent was based on the fact that they claimed to be Sam.gov.

I see now that they have done this to lots of other organizations, and am asking that you shut them down.

This business has sent me multiple emails under the guise of SAM Registration Renewal Support. Upon receiving the first email, I initially believed I needed to complete their process and pay $399 to renew for a year. They also provide options to pay $699 for two years and $899 for three years. Thankfully, I began to feel the process seemed fishy, and I remembered the person who had my job before me had said SAM is a FREE service. I closed the window before entering any credit card info. However, I had entered my phone number, and they called me almost immediately to complete the payment by phone. I said I no longer needed their service and hung up. Still, I am receiving emails that look official with code numbers, phone numbers, etc.

I strongly believe this outfit is despicable and needs to be shut down as I've seen online complaints from others who paid the fees before realizing it is a con. It's especially horrible as charities use SAM to apply for federal funding. It's an easy lie to sell because no one wants to chance losing their ability to use SAM.

DO NOT Pay for SAM Registration/Renewal. It is FREE to do on your own This agency leads you to believe that they are with the Goverment. I even questioned them about a different charge for a different reason and they claimed that they did not know what it was about and that nothing was updated with our Government Account. I even asked specific questions about their email address and they said not to worry about it. I contacted them and told them to cancel the transaction, I received an email saying that they would and that I should receive a receipt. I have not. I have cancelled my credit card and disputed the charges. I contacted the Federal Help Desk after becoming suspicious and they provided that they DO NOT Charge for this, but there are 3rd Party Vendors that do this. I reported the inicident to the Federal Government Associated with the administration of the SAM account.

they will attempt to charge you a registration renewal fee which is actually free

The email states that my organization SAM Registration Renewal is Due and has a button, labeled Click Here to Update Registration, tying to a url link. My organization's SAM is of an active status way beyond their posted email. The url link is of the following http://url7832.renewalsupport.com/wf/click?upn=M8NBCyYn9u2UaS7QU5yJDuJRCoeby5E8Y...
