SEB Freight Reports & Reviews (5)

A complete scam. Answered ad, did all they asked, they didn't honor anything they said. Good at lying. Seller was out of country. Vehicle was at broker in WI. All was handled by SEB Freight in Concord NH. But a vehicle only existed in photos. Emails and phone calls after promised delivery date went unanswered. I didn't do my homework and got swindled. Learned a hard lesson. Special place in hell for low life [censored] like them.

I had the same experience as location 95124's exchange. The email train with SEB freight and the supposed owner was identical almost word for word. I too was responding to an auto ad on Trivit.

Supposed owner: Frank Wilson
SEB "Sales Manager": Daniel Nillson
SEB phone number: 603-525-7627

I definitely got scammed.

I looked into purchasing a vehicle from cars.com and the seller claimed to be out of the country for Covid. He claims he set up his vehicle with an auto broker called SEB Freight. I would give them the money to hold until the vehicle was delivered to me and I agreed to purchase then the money would be sent to the seller. Problem is, according to the ScamPulse.com the company SEB Freight does not exist. The address does not show up as a freight company and the Chamber of Commerce from the small town in NH say they have no record of the company existing.

Replied to an ad for a classic Honda CBX motorcycle for sale. Price seemed a little low for this bike in the condition and mileage advertised, so red flag #1.

The ad showed the bike was in San Francisco but the pictures looked like a different area. Red flag #2.

The advertiser claimed to be employed overseas and said the bike was in Concord, NH.

The advertiser sent additional pictures when asked, as well as the VIN number.

The advertiser, "Bernard Sands", said he would ship the bike anywhere in the US for no additional fee. Red flag #3.

He recommended it be shipped by a "BBB A+" company and that I would send the money to them, they would hold it until I received the bike, and that I would have 7 days to inspect the bike or send it back for a full refund.

He then sent me a link to the shipping company site pictured below.

The shipping company's site has numerous copy errors. The address is in downtown Concord and does not reflect any real office.

The phone number comes back to a location in Hancock, NH.

A VIN records check shows the VIN is for a 1982 Honda CBX motorcycle as advertised, however it shows this vehicle being exported from Los Angeles, CA to New Zealand in 2015.

Was searching for a specific vehicle and found online through Trovit.com ads. This is the original link for the vehicle: https://usclassifieds4all.com/details.php?id=357131&listing=357131

I filled out the contact information on the site to start conversation about ad / vehicle listed. I then received personal email from the address I listed and started conversation about purchasing the truck in New Hampshire and I live in California.

When information was exchanged about how the transaction was going to happen and I researched the shipping company for the truck found out the website was not valid. They do not have specific address listed and had a fake ScamPulse.com ad listed. Link to their ScamPulse.com site to you to this web site: https://bbb-accredited-business.com/us/profile/used-car-dealers/seb-freight-4815... I also called the number, left a voice mail and they returned my call within 10 min. I spoke to some who I had time understanding and he started to get frustrated with me. When I provided him with the email contact I was speaking with I noticed he stated the exact conversation I had through email. I feel the email contact Robert Ballard is a stolen identity as well because this name Robert Ballard came up on Google immediately.

Here is the email string I had with the contact:( I did remove my personal email address from the email string) After my call to the shipping company I have not responded back to this contact.

Hello ****,

VIN# is 1FTFW1EF5EKD95753.

To be able to start this transaction you need to register on the shipping company's website:

https://sebfreight.com

After the registration is complete please contact me to start the transaction.

Sincerely,

Robert B.

Hi Robert,

Thank you for the additional details. I am definitely interested in purchasing the truck and I do have the funds for the listed price of 17K. I do live in California and I would like a carfax or VIN on the truck to get some detail history first.

For shipping, can you send me the name of the shipping company you have in mind so I can forward on to my lender?

Thanks,

****

Hello!

I would like to thank you for your interest in buying my car and also to clearly explain some things first of all...I would like to know from the beginning if you are really interested in purchasing and you have the funds available in your account, so I can stop negotiating with other potential buyers.

The car, the title, two sets of keys, manuals and some service history records will be delivered at the same time with the car. I propose to close the deal through a shipping company, in the most safe and easiest way possible for both of us. Basically, it's similar to buying a car locally, the money will be sent to their holding account, and they will keep the money secure until you will receive the car. After the car is delivered, you will have a 7 days inspection period before you decide if you wish to keep it or not. If you are serious about buying the car, I will ship it anywhere in the United States with no extra cost.

If you want to move forward please contact me back so we can get the ball rolling.

Hello Robert,

Thank you for your response. I am still interested in the truck. I would like to see the carfax for this truck, can you send over a copy? I do have a few questions... why are you selling? Can you tell me what # truck this is for the Tonka edition? If you are currently out of country would we need to wait for your return to complete the sale? Just wondering how the title would be signed over if we move forward with the sale?

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Hi!

Hope this email finds you well! The car is still for sale and the purchase price is $17,000.

The car is being sold as described, clean and clear title, no liens! no mechanical or electrical issues, never damaged in an accident, flood, or fire. I am working overseas with NG and I won't return until November 2020 when my contract ends.

The location of the car is Concord, NH, sealed and ready to go. I have arranged for the sale of the vehicle before leaving the states so if you want to find out more details about how we can close up this deal, do not hesitate to contact me and I will respond at my earliest convenience.

Sincerely,

Robert B.
