Had looked online for the lowest bid on a camera for our local government agency. This website was listed first in google search results, so I made the poor assumption that meant something... I was wrong. It appears to mean nothing as for a company's reputation or legal status. I placed an order online on November 17, 2016, for a Nikon Coolpix S9700 (Black) for 219.00 shipped/no tax. I promptly received a poorly written email from a guy named "jerry" (yes, lowercase) who said I NEED to call their number to confirm the order. When I called, I was transferred to his extension (sales) and was asked if I wanted to buy the battery with the camera. Since I initially thought it came with one, I decided not to opt for the 39.99 battery, fully intending to buy one locally (seemed to me like that was why the camera was so inexpensive). The person on the line said they would ship it right out, and we ended the call; mind you the entire time the professionalism of the person on the line was par at best. It was two weeks later, still no camera delivered, that I decided to call again to check the status of the shipment. Got on the line with "jerry" (I that's his name) and gave my order number: he instantly said it was on back-order (no pause to "look it up", just flat out told me). I asked when it would be in, and he said, again right out of his tucchas and not missing a beat, January 12th. I informed him I needed it by December 8th, was cut off by him repeating the expected receipt date, and I then asked for a refund. He said "okay" and promptly hung up (no confirmation, nothing). I won't receive my credit statement for another two weeks, but I'm putting in a request for stop-payment against the business. I was told it "would ship right out" and then "backordered" two weeks later, after having to poke at them for information. Poor business practice at best, possible credit card scammer. If the charge on the credit account remains, I will have to report it to the state Attorney General as fraud against a government agency (they were told who I worked for when I called to confirm the order).

My husband and I ordered a Red Nikon Coolpix s9700 camera (279.99) and Extra lithium ion battery (39.99) from StylusDeals.com on September 8th 2016. We never received an order confirmation so the next day I called the company to inquire about the confirmation and they said they would send it to me. Instead of sending an order confirmation they sent our shipment tracking info. Our shipment arrived on Tuesday September 13th, and we immediately noticed they not only sent the wrong color camera but the extra battery we had ordered was not included. I called the company and the gentleman who handled customer service (very rudely) said that they were out of stock of the red camera so they sent the black one instead. When I asked why we were not given notice of this he said it was stated in the terms and conditions. Although we were frustrated at the fact it was the wrong color, we decided to keep the black camera and instead ask them to refund us the difference in camera price since the black Nikon Coolpix S9700 we received was 219.99 and not 279.99 like the red one we originally ordered, and also asked them to send the extra battery that we had ordered that was not included. He agreed to send out the extra battery but said they were "having issues" in the billing department and would have to call back the next day to inquire about the refund. We also realized we were charged extra for the camera charger which was never stated on the original order. I called back the next day, Wednesday September 14th and inquired about the refund again. I spoke to the same man from the previous day and after he argued with me about my order, agreed to refund the difference between the red camera and the black camera we received and stated we would have the refund on Friday. He also told us he was sending the battery out that day and that we would have it "in the next couple of days". The following Wednesday we checked the bank account and realized there was still no refund from the company. I called again and spoke to the same man that I had spoken to the previous couple of times. He stated that the refund would be in this Friday, and that the camera battery shipped out on Tuesday 9/20/2016. I asked to speak to someone in management since the man was being very rude to me and he stated that someone from management would not get on the phone to speak to me, and If we wanted the refund in the difference of price between the red and black camera that I would now have to sign a form stating that that was all that we want. We are still waiting on the refund and the so called form they plan to send. As well as the camera battery. There is little we can do to make sure we get our money back or our extra battery because they do not seem to be a legitimately run company. I would like to warn future consumers of their scams before others lose money as well.
