No to the previous questions only because I didn't go further with this guy, but I've had a few similar experiences lately so I know what I'm looking for. I get these responses about jobs I didn't apply for (for example, this guy referred to Linked In where I no longer have a profile) - I received the same email as the report I'm affirming. I am actively seeking a job so I think they're posting fake ads and harvesting emails. I had a couple more like this last week, when I went to double check what I'd applied to the postings were deleted or nonexistent. I contacted the last two and the MO is the same - they ask you download Skype or Signal and explain how its unconventional but they interview only by text message, then there's a pitch to buy hw/sw from a specific vendor for the "remote work" opportunity. I'm just guessing this is the same deal because it's similar to the others I did follow up with; but I bailed when they started trying to get me to buy equipment.
