I am in the process of starting a personal business and was seeking to apply for my Federal EIN. I thought they were legitimately a part of the IRS and learned later that they are a scam. I lost $247 by submitting a fee to them on my credit card after learning that a FEIN application process is FREE! I later received an IRS Letter that issued me a FEIN with all typed info from the IRS along with Notice Number, IRS phone number,etc. I will contact the IRS to verify directly.

I was taken advantage of when I wasn’t under the impression that there is not charge for an EIN number. EIN numbers are free and they charged me $277.00.

Used service to get EIN for a new business.... actually thought it was the direct way.... but that was my error... They did not even get me the EIN... Just stole the money. I contacted many times and they said it was in process... Finally, I went in and got my own in less than 10 minutes. Would not refund the $247 charge. I hope they are arrested for their fraudulent activity and fined excessively!

I was on the IRS website obtaining a EIN # however I didn't realize until later that it took me to another site that charged me $247 for an EIN number. I have been trying to call the establishment and constantly get a recording and a representative never comes online. I have a copy of the receipt of the $247 however, I am unable to reach anyone by phone or email.

The company claims to provide EIN numbers, and looks like the IRS... in very small print if you scroll all the way to the bottom of the page it says they are not affiliated with the IRS. They never provided the service any ways scammed me out of 247.00. When I tried to get a refund they initially provided fraudulent information about keeping EIN's open and tried to charge 70 dollars for that service, or 25 dollars for attempted to cancel my business. I then received an e-mail saying I could not receive a refund because they had provided me the EIN (which they had not) when I stated I would call the authorities and notify BBB the money is said to have been returned, we will see. Either way its a scam, EIN are free! they charge between 247.00 and 297.00 for them... It looks really similar to the actual IRS website and unlike other companies who charge a small fee to help you with paperwork, I think they are collecting social security numbers for fraud.
