Got a text from unknown number saying "Hello i believe [my full name]" so I asked who it was and got back "I Am Mr James Taylor from TDIC Insurance Solutions. Your resume has been reviewed(INDEED) and approved by the HR dpt, Kindly reply with “YES” if interested to proceed further with the next steps."
Looked it up and found other people saying this is a scam so didn't give them the time of day...seemed really weird so that's why i looked it up. Especially since I haven't applied for any jobs in a while.

As listed above, I received a text message and then a long interview on hangouts that promised me a pre-programmed laptop and a check to buy a bunch of software. I got thinking about it and realized it was a "too good to be true" scam. I should have been more careful, as there were many typos.

I've been applying to jobs online to work at home. I applied on indeed. I received a text message from a Mr. David Smithers, stating they were reviewing my application. Then, a message stating i had an interview. I went through a 40 minute text interview. Then got told I got the job. So, he sent a paper for me to sign stating that i was hired. Then told me they were sending me a start up check to get all the software i needed to start. He emailed me the check. Then ask if I would mobile deposit it in my bank, and then ask for confirmation. i did all of that. Once done he told me we'll start again tomorrow at 8 A.M. I was really excited, then i got to thinking about it and called my bank. That's when i found out it was fake. here I am now.

I was approached on text about a remote job interview for TDIC. I checked out TDIC and saw it was legit. I was informed to useTelegram or Hang out app for the interview.
I connected with a Mike Davis, number 681 238 8550 out of West Virginia. Everything seemed okay until Mike asked me to buy software with a check he would send to my bank.He asked for my ID. I refused and looked up TDIC hiring scam. I found this page. The original text came from 315-745-1808.

I received this email claiming to be an interested employer. AFter messenging the person mentioned in charge of interviewing, I was asked a series of questions before getting "accepted" to work for the company. Very shady that it was a mere 5 minutes later. The hiring woman then told me that I was going to be sent a *picture* of a check, that I was to then print out and deposit in my account--this was for the cost of software equipment.

After I informed her I did not feel comfortable doing that, I was told to drive to my nearest Target store to pick up the ATT (Automated Time Tracker). I told her that due to the pandemic it was closed and the public was encouraged not to visit public places unless it was a must. She then asked "what stores are open", with me informing her Walmart was, she told me to promptly drive there. When I informed her I was there, not believing me, she then insisted I take a SELFIE for proof. Instant give away that it was a scam.

Received email from TDIC.. to message a person on hangouts named "Dorchestor Wealth" weird name said they had many positions, but when I'm asking for job details , never given. Secondly was told after a bunch of employment questions that another company will mail me a check that I will have to deposit on my account to receive job materials..very fishy ! I received a check way over priced for items needed I asked before receiving check why the check needs to be deposited through me for 3rd vendor to sent me job materials .. He said that's how the company works. Yeah Ok! I received a check from Fence company when this is supposed to be for a laptop, printer and desk. Also the official job offer letter if from this persons personal email not business and font was all funny...I believe this was a type of money laundering .. Can't believe I believed this bogo
