Received an email saying I was billed $898.89 with no explanation as what it was. I called the number provided and was told my Amazon account had been hacked. In order to stop the "really bad guys", I was to go to the store and purchase an Amazon card and then give him the numbers from the card and he would make sure the matter would go away. I did not do this and called him a scammer and hung up. I then changed all passwords. He said the really bad guys were purchasing items on my account using my Amazon line of credit. I have no such thing. Will report to attorney general in Ohio.

I just got this email from a Tech Live Connect. Hope they do not have any real debit info from me because I have never heard of them.

Hello,

I have received an email from Tech Live Connect, saying that they will charge me $399 in September for a product renewal. I do not have a subscription with them. I have called them to cancel the subscription, and I think they are a scammer. They did not answer my questions about the product, but told me that I needed to do some logging in, starting by asking what browser I was using.

I got hacked four years ago by someone offering protection service for my computer, an I am wondering if it is the same people. In 2017, they had me log in, took over my browser, then hacked my computer.

Please let me know if I am off-base and this is a legitimate company, but I do not want to get charged on 9/2/21 nor do I want to get hacked again.

I then called the number given in the email and spoke to a man who said that I had agreed to a renewal. I asked for the name of the company. He said, "Tech Life Connect" but would not give me any other information. I asked where they were located. He would not say. Then he hung up on me. Now my number is blocked. The phone number is identified as coming from Rosevile, California.

Nearly three years ago, I absentmindedly used this sketchy tech support company to fix a virus on my computer. They had remote access in, and I watched them as they “fixed” it for $***. It seemed like they did actually repair the computer, however, since this day, I not only have had various online accounts compromised, but this company has called me multiple times trying to scam me again. Once they claimed they were going out of business and needed my credit card number to refund the $*** I paid a year ago. Today, nearly three years after the initial incident, I receive an email from them saying my subscription with them will be renewed for $*** with my credit card on file unless I call the number listed to cancel. (I thought they were going out of business!?) there is no address listed below the company name, nor does it have a name of the person who sent the email. I’m not sure what this company is trying to do, but do yourself a favor and STEER CLEAR.

I was initially scammed because of the pop up on my computer. It advised me that I needed to call immediately to prevent from losing all my files. They pretended to be from Microsoft and charged me $***, took control of the computer and by all accounts did nothing from what I could see. When I got off the phone I called Microsoft to inquire and was told they don't charge for tech support. I then immediately reported it to my credit card company and filed a charge dispute which was granted. However, ever since then they have called using a variety of phone numbers and harassing me as to why they haven't been paid, or threatening that I'll go to jail for non payment. The latest attempt is now telling me that they're going out of business and the federal government is ordering them to refund me. TLC then proceeds to tell me they just need to access my computer to make sure everything is in working order. I told them there was no way that was happening and hung up, but they continue to call and harass me. I now have blocked the number, but they just continue to call using other numbers and leaving messages on my voicemail. This is an ongoing scam it appears by everything I've read and I hope they're caught and stopped.

*Victim's computer started having issues when a Pop-Up came on screen with number to call for help: 877-958-7560. Victim called this phone # which lead to "Tech Live Connect" which sounded like an overseas call center. Victim expressed computer issues he was having during phone call and Point of Sale was made during phone call. Afterwards victim received emails from "Premium Techie Support" (aka)Tech Live Connect thanking him for his business etc. Victim ended up with at lease two charges to his credit card for $*** & $***. The credit card statement showed another company made these charges called "FSPT Support" & phone # 877-327-8914 CA. This phone # leads to website: https://fastspring.com with company information: Copyright © 2006-2018 Bright Market, LLC dba FastSpring. 801 Garden St., Santa Barbara, CA 93101 and Bright Market LLC dba FastSpring Limited. 2 Minton Place, Victoria Road, Bicester, England, OX26 6QB. Victim is trying to recover his lost money of $638.06 through dispute with credit card company.

I was doing some research on an error message popup that I was receiving for my email account. A company called REIMAGE was posted on the site that, it will do a scan and repair any files. I ran the scan and it show that I had files corrupted and that it can be repaired. I paid $44.30 using pay pal and it ran the repair. I didn't notice anything different on my pc, so there was a toll free number for me to call. When I pressed the number on my pc, it linked me to Tech Live Connect. They started off by asking me questions on what types of problems I was having. The tech wanted me to give him permission to login remotely to my PC. I gave the permission and he ran a scan and indicated that there were alot of processes that were stopped on my PC and not to worry because he can fixed everything and my computer would run like new again.Please keep in mind that I thought I was dealing with someone in the US. The charge for this would be $399.00 and that I would receive lifetime support and that the service would transfer to any new computer that I would buy in the future. I agreed, then they also would install a life time virus protection called defender that would protect my identity and from someone hacking into my computer. That was another $219.00. They also assured me that I had a 30 day guarantee, that if I was not happy with their service, I can get a refund. After that they were going to charge me $6.99 a month which they told me later. They also had indicated that they were going to investigate my email problem that I was having and that they would get back to me the next day which they did not. After I made the stupid mistake of giving them my credit card information and noticing that my PC was basically the same, I had a bad feeling contacted my daughter and she did some research and indicated that the company had a lot of complaints. I immediately contacted my credit card company to report possible fraud. and the transactions were not posted yet. Please be advised that Credit Card companies cannot stop a payment even if it is pending. You can dispute the transaction after it is posted to your account. I had two transactions pending and 1 posted. The agent at the credit card company attempted to do a 3 way call with Tech Live Connect and he received a busy signal. I gave him another number to call and he still received a busy signal. I then tried to call Tech Live Connect on my own to cancel the subscription and the person that answered switch me to his manager. I told the manager that I wanted to cancel my subscription and get a refund and he wanted to know why. At first, I told him because I didn't want the service that I had the right to cancel because their guarantee said that I had 30 days and it was only the 2nd day. He said he could not do that because they did a lot of work on my PC and all the time spent, that he was willing to resolve any issues I had. I was very adamant, that I wanted to cancel and he would not agree. So we kept going back and forth and he would not honor the 30 day money back guarantee because he said that many people call and get their computer problems resolved and then call back to get a refund. I told him that when I purchased the subscription, they said it was a 30 day cancellation and that he should stand by their agreement. He frivolously offered me a $100.00 discount, but I told him I want to cancel the total subscription. I was not getting anywhere with these people, so I just hung up. I reported to the credit card company that I got through and was unable to get my money back.

E-mail stated there were viruses in my computer. I gave the person remote access to my hard-drive. I later rec'd. an e-mailed invoice for $399.95 for their "services". I called the BBB to find out if this company is legitimate, and was informed it is not.

I was having problems with my computer and contacted via phone what I thought was tech support through apple to talk with someone on February 28, 2017. Everything seemed to go okay until they started calling me a couple of weeks after the purchase of a security program called AMC Platinum Package 5PC software. I was initially told it would be $139.00 dollars but ended up being charged $468.00 at which time I felt I had to pay. I feel I have been totally scammed as the software program has changed nothing on my computer. I began receiving phone calls on a daily basis beginning in the middle of March, sometimes several times a day, to inform me that the program was corrupted and they were going to refund me my money. I was told that the refund process was done online and the company would send me a thousand dollars and I was to take out what I had paid for the program and then return the rest to the company. I refused and asked that any refund be sent to me via a check at which time they assured me that they could not do that. I told them I felt like I was being scammed and to please not contact me again. They repeatedly called me for almost two more months and then the calls stopped. I emailed the company to let them know about the phone calls. A gentleman called me and assured me that it was not the company contacting me and requested a phone number from where the calls were coming from. I had sent him that information at first contact and also let him know that the calls came from many numbers and I wanted them stopped. I was assured that the calls were from scammers and not to respond to them. I basically quit answering my phone and the calls eventually stopped until today when I was called and informed by someone that their business was shutting down and they are sending me a refund with all the strings attached from the first refund contact. I have to tell you that number one, I feel really stupid for not realizing this was a scam in the first place, and number two that I do not have that kind of money just laying around and the financial burden has been tremendous.
