The Center for Back Pain Reports & Reviews (5)

I received a mailer saying there was a special notice for Medicare and insurance information. It was delivered by The Center For Back Pain. They wanted to speak to me about my eligibility for a proven Medicare and insurance back support system. I talked to someone at the 800 number, she wanted my Social Security number. I didn't give it to her.

I received the same pink post card as described below in this news article written by Jaynell Graham from The Pocahontas Times. Appears to be circulating around Southern Arizona

"Residents in the county have reported receiving a pink notification by mail which advises that the recipient has been pre-approved by Medicare for a back brace or knee brace.

This is a scam – an effort to gain access to your personal info.

In an attempt to make the scam look legitimate, the card includes a claim deadline and release code.

The phone number listed on the card is 1-866-526-4274.

DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER.

If you receive a “pink” notice by mail, or if you receive a phone call which makes the same claim pertaining to pre-approved goods or services, DO NOT give out any of your personal information. And DO NOT give your Social Security Number to anyone over the phone.

My wife received a notice in the mail on a green 3 x 5 card that The Center for Back Pain had been trying to contact her in regards "her eligibility for a Medicare and insurance covered back or knee support system." I looked the company's name up on the web and found none listed and that's when I began wondering if it was a scam.  Card just had a phone number and no other information.
