Leon Eskijians of The Cosmopolitan Group rented us two villas in Mykonos, Greece. Over a year, we contacted him to finalize details, get recommendations, etc.... We primarily used WhatsApp to communicate. While he wanted us to wire money, we were adamant that we were using credit cards. When we arrived in Mykonos, the person Leon said would meet us to show us to our villas. "local team" was an empty lot. The location pin he sent was bogus. There were 21 of us, many elderly, and Leon could not be reached in any way. After 3 hours, utilizing snapshots of the villa on VRBO, AirBNB and his thecosmpolitiangoup.net site, we located one of the villas with the help of a driver. The villa's owners however had NO reservation. Leon had taken our money and had yet to reserve the villas. It takes a ruthless individual to steal your money on a "fictitious" rental. It takes a very, very evil person to allow 21 individuals to be stranded in a foreign country without a place to stay because you are a thief and have no regard for humans.

We had to come up with rental money again to stay in the Villa. $19,900

We have filed a complaint with the FBI. We have filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. We had the listing removed from VRBO, and AirBNB, he did not even have permission to list them on these platforms.

Do not become bait to this thief.
