Tilli’s sphynx babies Reports & Reviews (1)

I contacted the website because they were selling sphynx kittens. When I first made contact, they began with asking questions about my background to make sure I was suitable to buy the kitten. Once I answered their questions, they told me that I could buy her. Along with telling me that I could buy her, they told me that I had the option to meet them in person or have the kitten shipped to my home. I’m a few hours away and wouldn’t have been able to pick the kitten up so I told them she could be shipped. After telling them that, they told me that the kitten would be $700 and the shipping fee would be $100. I was also assured that the kitten would come with food and litter samples that would last a month. They also sent a contract for me to sign that gave me ownership. I felt things were a little off before the payment. I was told to go to my bank and withdraw $800 and put into their account (they had sent me their bank info). I told them I couldn’t and then they mentioned Zelle, an app with Wells Fargo to send the payment. I was hesitant but believed them because aside from the couple of pictures that were on the site, they sent me several more through their email and asked me several times to send pictures of her once she was here. I made the payment Friday and received word from them that Sunday that they had received the payment and would send shipping details Monday. Monday arrived and I got an email from “Swift Shipping Systems”. It had tracking information on the cat. It showed that the kitten had been checked in but I noticed that it had “insurance needed: on hold”. I did not think anything of it because it had the kittens arrival time set at 7 pm. Shortly after that email, I got another one from the same “shipping company” saying that in order for the kitten to be shipped, I would need to send them a $1500 refundable payment. I noticed that the account listed was another zelle account. Along with noticing the account, I noticed several grammatical errors. Right after I got that email, I got a phone call from the “shipping company” telling me the same thing. I told them that this was not talked about with the breeder, that I was told there was a $100 shipping fee and that was it. They told me to get in contact with the breeder and I did. I immediately told the breeder that any type of insurance was not discussed. He proceeded to tell me it was refundable. I told him I didn’t have $1500 so he told me he could pay $500. I told him I didn’t have $1000 and he told me he would pay $750 and split it but as soon as I got the refund, to send him the $750. After getting off the phone with the ‘breeder’, I looked up the ‘shipping’ site and one site listed it as a scam. I knew nothing of the site until I received the email Monday.

The actual site used to scam people into buying kittens looks completely legit. They boost about being in the breeding business for over 10 years and have the ‘available’ kittens on their site
