Timeshare Rental Marketing Scam Reports & Reviews (2)

I received a call from these people and they knew I had a timeshare with RCI and stated that I could sell 6 weeks of my timeshare to their company for $399 a week. They would rent the week for $1,400 a week and I would get paid $1,001 as the $399 is the fee for me to activate my week with RCI. I began asking lots of questions because I did not understand and he transferred me to Baron Whitlock, the Owner/Manager as this person was fairly new and Baron could explain it better to me. He said that he was going to put me on hold and it would be silent and transfer me to avoid the "elevator music." I spoke with Baron and he said that I could sell a minimum of 4 weeks which would cost me $1596 ($399x4) and that they would send me a check for $5,600 and that they would receive a 10% finders feed. He stated that the maximum weeks I could sell is 6, otherwise they would consider me a corporation. He stated that me selling my weeks did not have any affect on my points with my timeshare as well. He stated that the people would only need to sit thru a timeshare presentation when they arrived at the vacation site. He stated that if I wanted to look them up on line to go to www.Icorplodging.com . I told him that I would need to check this out and call him back and he stated that I could call back at the number and ask to speak to him and he would complete all the paperwork for me instead of me going thru his staff. I was skeptical as I only had 1 week with RCI and my timeshare is with another company and based on points. I went to check the website that he provided and it does say that the cost of the vacation packages is $1400. I am not sure if this is actually their site as the number I called was different than the number listed on the website ((866)601-6601). Today I decided to go on the ScamPulse.com to check to see if this was a scam and I am so glad someone else had put this out there! I pray that others are smart enough not to give up their information before checking it out! If it sounds too good to be true 9 out of 10 times it is! Check things out before believing someone on the other end of the phone.

The scammer called identified themselves as a partner to RCI and holiday inn. Offering to sell my 6 stays for a rental profit with $1,197 money down for 3 units they will cover the other 3 until I receive my check for rent. I was told that the other contract I signed with R worldwide marketing company could be disputed and I would get the 3,338 that I paid them back plus 500 if they don’t pay it within 45 days. No where in the contract does it list this.
