She (?) Almost got me. She had also told me she was ex military and that her husband was a minister. The puppy was named Arlo. I asked if he was still available and how old he was. She told me yes and that he was 10 weeks old. I asked her for more pics, which she sent. One of her pictures showed the puppy in a little sleigh under a Christmas tree. IT'S MAY! Unless they keep their Christmas tree up all year there's no way the pup is 10 weeks old. After many emails back and forth my wife and I were going to make the 3 and a half hour trip to pick up the puppy. I live in Md. The address they gave me was 326 East Wilkes Barre St Easton Pa.18042 After I said I would make the trip all emails stopped. I did send another telling them that I was going to post on every scam website that I can find. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE! Hope this helps.

What a nightmare. I am disabled and was desperately looking for a smaller dog to be a companion and help me keep my mind of my painful nervous system disorder CRPS/RSD. We ran across Marie chihuahua puppies and I thought my prayers had been answered. My first red flag was that when I asked for approximate adult size she gave me info in cm and K. I was thinking maybe these pups were in a different country. When asked I was given the address in Pennsylvania. She/he said all the right things so she thought.
She had the nerve to tell me her husband was in the ministry and that she was a military vet that lost most of her hearing from a bomb explosion. These are two things I take seriously-Christianity and our military. But then she skips by saying her “partner” instead of husband and the key phrase “ I am a Christian and don’t lie or scam” not exact wording but it’s in my pictures.
So, my gut was feeling something was off as we discussed shipping pup to MICHIGAN. How was she making any money on these pups if all of this was included in a $550 price?
I asked her and it her husband to video chat with me holding the puppy before I felt comfortable sending that kind of money. ( I thought maybe I was over reacting at first). She simply replied sorry We don’t do video chats. STOP GAME IS UP….. I had asked numerous times for her and her husband’s full names. I never got them. Most of the emails I think were already scripted but at the end of one I said to my husband “ her spelling was perfect throughout all these messages it read the last paragraph” the last paragraph was full of miss spellings and what seemed to be some choppy English and she keeps referring to money as usd and saying in the US. I’m from MICHIGAN I know we are in the USA and use USD. I listened to my gut and I am thankful because she almost got our money and left us puppy less:-( attached is her correspondence with me. We thought we were buying a little boy puppy named Flynn. She sent me some pictures and a couple videos as well. This all happened April 24 and 25 2022. Flynn is supposedly 10 weeks old. In the video he is running through fresh dropped leaves in the fall. How could this be when he is only 10 weeks old and leaves dropped 5-6 months ago? Only a vet technician was in a photo, neither “Marie” nor her “Baptist Preacher husband” we’re seen. I think she may have more websites up for pit bulls and God only knows what other scam’s she has going. My last message was asking about video chat and her and her husband’s names and she never would give those. They would be on the puppy registration papers so it would be nothing to hide. Sorry this was so long and I hope people find this site like I did before they get scammed!

Found small chihuahua on the site. Talked with Marie several times through text and email. Stated she was disabled vet and husband was pastor at Grace Methodist Church. Was deaf due to military accident. Coco was $550.00. Sent first payment via zelle and second by money gram at Walmart. Yesterday 4/14. She told me that they would schedule her transport from Pennsylvania to my local airport early this morning and he would arrive today or tomorrow. To date there has been no further information. When she finally answered a text she asked if the delivery service had contacted me. They had not. Have heard nothing else. Money Gram to Varrien Franklin. Zelle to Rachel Kloepping. Phone number in text. 814-474-6267. Wish I had known sooner

On April 5th, we found chihuahua puppies for sale on a site (link: mariachihuahua.com) and decided to contact. We started with emails ([email protected]) and wanting to purchase the dog named Tina. The owners of the business claimed to be a retired "Medical service" worker named Maria and her husband. Maria, who we were in contact with through email and text (phone number: 678 940-3803), claimed to be "not tech-savy" which should have been the first alarm. She said the cost of adoption would be $600 USD with an additional shipping fee of $180 USD. She also said they normally receive payment before they establish ownership certificate. They said they use Zelle, Cash App, credit card, moneygram, and RiaMoney. The online credit card site, which she provided (link: https://flutterwave.-com/pay./.lry7nbd0osxn), would not accept my Canadian Credit Card and "We could not charge this card. Reason: Merchant cannot accept international payments at this time. Please contact support." From this, she suggested we go through MoneyGram since we did not have Zelle or CashApp. She sent another link to try the credit card again, as it seemed MoneyGram was the last option, (link: https://flutterwave.-com/pay/wsq6msxb0mn), but it did not work once again. Maria told us her daughter, Angele Tsopgni, would be the one doing the pickup due to their inexperience with technology. Her info is as follows, Angele Tsopgni, Address: 23 B st App 309, Laurel, Maryland, Zipcode: 20707. Maria said Angele would transfer her the money through Zelle and then we would proceed with the adoption. We payed for the MoneyGram at our local Canada Postand it came to a sum of $1,015.29 CAD. The reference number for pickup was 87928500 and the receiver was Angele Tsopgni. She sent over a contract to sign over ownership and oddly said that only one of us needed to sign (Me or my wife). We signed the document and emailed it back to her. We asked for the Vet documents which in return she said they do not share puppy documents on email for "safety" reasons, but that the puppy would come with hard copies upon delivery. Next she gave us a link to a site to track our package (link: https:/./globalushiplogistics.com/.), we then found out this site is known to be a scam but we had already paid the MoneyGram. The tracking number she gave us was GSL06042021345BC. The next day, we received a text from the lady that said the dog's shipment would be delayed due to a lack of "electronic thermal regulatory crate" and that the shipment company should contact us through email to confirm this. They did and also asked for $630 USD for the thermal crate and said we would receive an 80% cash refund when package would be delivered. This obviously started to become a clear scam so we requested our money back from Maria or else we would contact the police. She kept reiterating that we could come to some sort of solution but at this point all we wanted was our money returned. She then blocked my wife's phone number and we have had no more contact with her. Her address she provided was 4381 Gunnin RD Norcross, GA 30092. The name provided was Maria Bernit N and the "Transfer of Ownership Certificate" was notarized by Jerry Hampton.

The same scam almost happened to my parents. My dad asked me to Zelle them $580. I said wait whoa show me the website first. It's just too good to be true. And low and behold here you are confirming the scam. Thank you so much for posting this. You are helping a lot of people. They need to be stopped.
