TPG Telecom Reports & Reviews (3)

I received a text message yesterday May 1st 2018 saying this woman name was Faith Douglas she had information for me because there was a job offer that was no less than $35 dollars an hour for a company called TPG Telecommunications. She told me that she was forwarded my information from my resume that someone found online, I have never heard of this company and didn't apply for this company. She told me that they wanted to interview me and gave me the information I needed to text message a woman on Google Hangout so I emailed the woman and had an interview with her thinking that the company was legit the further down the conversation I found out that the company wasn't legit and that it was a scam. The name of this woman is Jessica Clark she told me that there was a job offer and then I was hired for it so I was going to take it but some of it seemed fishy to me, I was told that I needed to give them some information like my bank account and other things so I could deposit a check into the account so I can pay for business supplies with their money. I received the check this morning May 2nd 2018 close to $6,000 and I was told to cash the check or deposit into my bank account so we can get started with the job, I contacted a lawyer they told me to file a police report with all of this information so people were aware of what was going on and that I had gotten scammed. I did further research on my own time and the company is a real company out of Australia but people are using this company scam people into a job to personal get information. I got a letter with the check which I will put in a picture below. Both the check and the letter are scam and they are not legit and I can tell. I don't know how these people got my information but it's scary that there are people out there like this that scam innocent people.

i am in search of job. today at the morning of April 17, 2018 i receive text msg FROM NUMBER 16692280609 in such a text - hello. *** and how are you doing? i am mr.Newton Walker from (TPG Telecom Company) we have reviewed your resume, thoroughly would to interview you. Reply back if interested. I did reply and been asked to install Hangouts app to make this interview through. i've been given of email of the person [email protected] at the beginning it does sound as interview with question-answer i was told that its full time position from home, as company planning to open own place soon in my city. Ive been told that for my work i will require apple computer and several types of software that will provide employer, and i will have to pay only shipping, i asked if i can pay shipping on pick-up, this woman said no, ill have to send them all the sum via western union as cash pick-up or by money gram. at that time i already realized its a FRAUD i did quickly opened their website and trued to find contact number to call them, but it didnt have any, than i asked to send me JOB OFFER and it is said that i am invited to SYSTEM ANALIST position, there is wasnt any turms, conditions, my duties, no 'head' where must be full address and phone number, none of those. So, this woman said to me that my shipment will cost me $800, and i said i dont have it, and i said i have only half, she asked me if i can send $500? i said i have to think about it, asked where from she is calling she said right away from Los Angeles, CA. she have been very pushy that i will send money right away, and was saying about my trust in company, and again if i trust send money. i said i cannot do any banking till another day, she said only till 8am e.t. I AM SURE THIS IS FRAUD, AND POSSIBLY PICTURE WAS STOLLEN. she spent with me time from 2:52pm till 5:53pm no HR that will spent more than 30 min. BE CAREFUL PEOPLE AS ON MY EMAIL START COMING OFFERS FOR CREDIT CARD, DATING SCAMS.

The "HR hiring manager" interviewed via Google hangouts, they said I would be making $25/hr for a work at home position. After I was "hired" they said I'd be receiving a check to purchase equipment. I felt it was a scam and asked for a number to contact and am now blocked from sending anymore messages. It was a red flag that he referred to him self as Mr. Stephen and had bad grammar. Did not ask any personal info such as bank routing information or social security number.
