Transa Logistics Reports & Reviews (1)

I responded on Monday Nov 29, 2021 to a newspaper ad in the Capital Gazette under give aways: "Golden Doodle Puppy. Loving home wanted. Contact [email protected]". I had an email exchange with this person who said she actually had 2 puppies, male and female, that she could no longer care for as she was a traveling nurse. She sent pictures and was specific about the food they were eating and asking questions about my experience with dogs and about my property. Asked if I could take delivery on Wednesday because she had to travel on Thursday. Said she had used a shipper to receive the puppies, didn't care about an adoption fee but would I pay shipping. She would use the same shipper. Asked for my phone number and address, which I gave her. Last email was on Dec 1st telling me she had dropped them off with the shipper and they would contact me. Phone call from Chris Benniot requesting payment of $405 through zelle. It was sent to [email protected]. (That should have been a big clue but unfortunately I had come down with the flu and was feverish and not thinking perfectly.) I received a flight itinerary that put the dogs on a flight to Chicago O'Hare for a plane change to Baltimore BWI arriving at 1025 Dec 2nd. I went to bed and got a phone call at 0750 that the dogs had been ill and taken to a vet and needed better crates that I could rent and be refunded except a small fee on arrival. Chris claimed he tried to reach me the previous night, and there were 3 phone calls registered at 2200, but I had gone to bed early and turned down my phone. I paid $1920 through zelle again but this time to Tyi Smith at [email protected]. (Again should have figured it out then). Received another flight itinerary that had the dogs arriving at 1700. Received a phone call at 1636, when the dogs should already have left, that now I needed to pay for insurance. I refused unless they showed my a picture of the dogs in their custody. Chis said he could not. but he would schedule them for a later flight arriving at 2225, and I received another flight itinerary. At 1804, again when the dogs should have been already boarded, they called saying the dogs needed shots to strengthen them. I refused. I received 2 emails later telling me I had to do this or they would hold the dogs and charge me with pet abandonment. I responded for them to go ahead and do it.
