Trip Avisor Imposter Reports & Reviews (1)

Last year, around this time, my mother saw a piece of paper on the board at her job. My mother thought this was an amazing deal that we all, as a family, could do together. It was for a 4 or 5 star resort that you have 18 months to use. My mother called, gave her information, her credit card and bought "tickets" for this amazing deal. The money was took out of her account, the man on the phone told her she would have an email sent to her regarding the purchase and what to do next within the next 24-48 hours. My mother never received that email. Months go by, my mother has been thinking a lot about limited time trip. My mom decided to give that phone number a call that was on the piece of paper. The number was no longer in service, so my mother called Tripadvisor and they advised her of no purchase and that they never had a limited time offer for a trip like that. My mother got scammed. My mother contacted her bank and told her exactly what happened, so luckily she was refunded her money. She also canceled that card and was issued a new one just in case of any future problems with whoever scammed her in the first place. Today i received a fax from the same exact people. The sheet of paper states its a memo, To: All Employees, From: H.R. Department. It states it is purchased through TripAdvisor, Limited time only to the first 300 callers. It states you can stay in a four or five star resort guaranteed with 18 months to use. They say you can stay at the following resorts, CANCUN, HAWAII, JAMAICA, BAHAMAS, CABO, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, CAYMAN ISLANDS, PUERTO RICO, COSTA RICA OR TURKS & CAICOS ISLAND. They state on the paper that you choose your own dates, packages are dated and valid for 18 months. Duration: 5 days 4 nights w/ all meals included for only $98 PER PERSON. It also included corporate meal plan, children under the age of 5 eat for free and there are unlimited activities. They also state there is a BONUS 3 DAYS AND 2 NIGHTS TO ORLANDO OR LAS VEGAS (ORLANDO STAY INCLUDES $150.00 TICKET CREDIT TO A THEME PARK OF YOUR CHOICE) There will be a promo code, mine on this paper is, TA927. it states you can pay with a VISA or MASTERCARD. The phone number given is (866) 205-6442. I decided to give the number a call. I acted as if i was interested, then asked "Why did you scam my mother last year" they quickly hung up. Confused and intrigued, I called them back. I said "hey i was just calling about this tripadvisor vacation and was hung up on, could you give me more information?" the man states "this is a limited time offer and are booking fast. what is the promo code." I said "yeah i was going to ask you about this and why you scammed my mom." I heard a click, they hung up. I called them back again asking "why do you keep hanging up on me whenever i call and ask you why you scammed my mom?" the man hung up on me again. So i called one last time and asked "why do you keep hanging up on me? i am asking you a question and want an answer, why did you scam my mother?" the man answers back "i do not want to speak to you about this." and then hangs up. DO NOT USE THIS TRIP! DO NOT GIVE YOUR INFORMATION! CALL THE ScamPulse.com and report them asap!!!! This is such a scam and i do not want this happening to ANYONE ELSE!!
