2-2-19 was on computer received an alert box pop-up warning claiming to be from Microsoft and looked like Microsoft with their coloring, etc. . Said that my computer would lock up notification if the alert window was closed, and then a phone number to call in the pop up. I called and the person told me that my computer had been infected with a suspicious activity or virus from unknown and that it had to be fixed so information on computer was not used. So speaking with him he said he could take control of my computer which he did and run tests and add a couple of programs to disable the intruders. He ran the tests and said that the intruders could get all vital information and I needed to buy these programs. He represented himself as connected with Microsoft and also saw Microsoft Logo on the website I had to go on because I questioned him about that. After the tests were done he said the cost was $198.00 to add the programs and was very high-pressure sales tactics and when questioned him about the cost he again was very high-pressured and said it is up to you if you wish intruders to get information. He then also offered me another deal for 3 years at a price, etc. He said I had to give him a credit card and I said no that I would send a check as the only way I would pay but he did not like that as how does he know I will send the check and for me to go directly to Post Office and mail it as soon as we got off the phone. I told him no I would put it in my mailbox for the next day or that day depending on mail. He did not like that and said he would have to speak with his supervisor to see if OK. He said yes that was OK. But got very nasty with me that I had even questioned him about how they do things and when I mentioned I was uncomfortable with all this he said everybody you write a check out to gets your information on the check and I told him I understand that but I do not like having people so insistent. He then made me write up something saying I would pay and scan it and I said my scanner was not working correctly that I would just put it in with the check and he did something and got it to scan. I asked him how to make out check and I had put UM Technologies Inc as that was what was on the website and he said no UM technologies LLC, so I corrected it on the check with my initials and he said that that would not work that I would have to make out another check. I told him No that it would work and he said he would have to check with his supervisor about it...came back on phone and said OK. Then the software was uploaded I am guessing. I got nothing from them in the mail which I asked for. After all of this I began to think and called Microsoft and explained everything to them and paid $49.00 to have them get on my computer remotely and delete any programs the same day 2-2-19. which they I am sure have records of doing so Microsoft told me it was a scam and that the ? programs are free of charge programs and they had deleted everything that needed to be done and cleaned up my computer and made sure it was safe. They said no malicious activity had they seen or invaded. I then called the bank and told the bank the issue and they stopped payment on check the same day. I received 2 calls supposedly from the Attorney General Office from Texas x 2 calls. Once a James and then a Chase but never identified the issue they were calling me about. Have received no letters in the mail. Then get a call from them on 4-6-19 saying to call them UM Technologies for a Breach of Contract. I did not sign anything as I was on the phone with them and received no paperwork in mail. I called them and the lady told me that it was a Breach Of Contract and Legal Arbitration would start. I tried to explain to her that I had called Microsoft to check and that they had scammed me and that I had cancelled the check because of that. She argued with me as to how do they know I really did that and that the programs were really deleted. And would not let me explain. I also told her that she called me and I was returning her call so she needs to listen so I could explain and she hung up on me.

Pop-up on laptop saying my computer was hacked and I needed to call number on screen. Called number and spoke to a man who said he was Microsoft tech support and could fix my computer. Convinced me to show check written out to said company for $99.00 which was the cost for one year hacking protection
