United Student Services Reports & Reviews (3)

I received a phone call in April of 2018, by an older woman explaining the student loan forgiveness program and how it will benefit the life time of my student loan. She explained how the original loaner, NAVIENT, was undergoing a huge lawsuit and that Trump was soon going to be taking away the money left by Obama to help forgive millions of dollars in student loans. She then passed me on to a Brandon Chodosh, the Senior Case Manager. He then explained how the fee involved was to be paid first before my paperwork was to be submitted to see if I can be eligible for a $0 a month payment without having my interest accrue. They all used different narratives that sounded very convincing, such as my interest was being added on every month and that I will never be able to pay it off. I unfortunately gave my account information and before I knew it, they had taken out $500.00 a week later from my account, which was not the amount they said they were going to take out. When I called and complained, the said I had agreed to this and that is when I knew something was not right. 4 months later, I am still trying to receive my money back and even sent a formal letter from my lawyer demanding the money back. They were extremely upset at this and told me now they had to involve their lawyers and the payment was now out of their hands.

I have emails documenting all this. Please do not let these people take advantage of vulnerable people by stealing money from them. I would love to report them even further more to a local police. I do not know how these people even had my student loan information to begin with, I hope they will be caught and finally pay for their frauds.

This place contacted me stating he can help put my school loans lower I believed him and made payments as it was to be ending due to the department of education changing there laws. Do not use them as I have continued to reach out spent 1200$ and was told to not pay my loans which are now delinquent and affecting my credit..

I was contacted in March of 2018 by a rep from this business after speaking to my student loan officer. After hearing the process of debt consolidation and reduced payments and what my payment would then be I went ahead and went through the application process over the phone with a company student loan representative. I was told there was a fee required for the service, pay $699 now or make two payments of $400 each. I chose to make the $699 payment. I was then told I would be getting the final phone call to finalize the terms of the contract and that I needed to take this call. I was told the entire process would take several months to go through and to keep making my payments in the mean time.

I was unable to take the phone call when it came as I was driving home from work. I did not receive another call, my payment went through but no further contact with the company has ever been made. My student loan reduction did not go through either.
