Unitek Tech Reports & Reviews (10)

I had the same experience as some of the people that commented on this site. The company goes by a different name and is known as Armada Infotech. I will inform some people that are getting it confused with another real company. The fake one is https://armadainfo.tech/ and the real one is https://armadainfotech.com/
I went through the whole task process, and my suspicions grew after I attempted to do some more research on the company and came back mostly empty-handed. The "manager" goes by the name "David Adams". I called this person out when he introduced himself by a different name by mistake, he also has a foreign accent, I cannot say for certain but he sounds middle eastern. To see if my suspicions would be correct or not, I requested that David have a zoom meeting with me to go over the job details but he came back with the excuse that he was not able to. He has a lot of my sensitive information, including banking, SS, and government IDs. Do not be fooled by the employee portal setup, the professional-looking company website. Whoever is running this operation is smart, they made everything look professional with the exception on how communication is done which should really be a red flag for people that try and get hired on by a company.

Did anyone else get this? It's a ,pdf file describing the job and an intro to the company,

They do well by having a site and work panel, but it's totally bogus. I worked as c.s. with "Alan Miller". They never ever paid me, and wanted to get a win and bank account in my name. Complete scam and a complete waste of time.

Did they ever have you perform any tasks, if so were your tasks?

I received the same spam from Uniteck Tech as described above. However, I didn’t respond to them, but blocked their email addresses. They are offering $3,500 for a part time “Customer Service Officer” and $4,500 for a full-timer.
It clearly doesn’t make sense. And if it doesn’t make sense, it isn’t legit.

Dear Shannon,

I have great news. You have successfully registered for the Work Panel.
Due to the heavy workload in our HR department right now, as well as the large number of candidates for this position, we have scheduled your phone interview for today. Our HR Manager will contact you within 1-3 hours. Please be available to call. If for any reason we are unable to reach you today, we will automatically reschedule the call for the next day. So please don't worry if you don't have time to pick up the phone or if you are uncomfortable taking our call today. It's all according to plan.

To make sure you don't miss a call, please add our phone number to your phone book: (888) 824-9973.

The day after the phone interview, you will receive an email and Work Panel chat with detailed further instructions. Please check your spam folder, too.
If you still have questions, please send me an email or contact me in the Work Panel chat. I'll do my best to get back to you as quickly and thoroughly as possible.
Have a nice day.

They contacted me by email offering me a job. I figured they found my info from one of the job search sites. I had only a phone interview before I got hired. I entered my info on the work panel. DL, SSN, address, email, phone number, birthdate, etc. I figured companies usually ask for this info anyway, so I thought it was ok. Later someone told me that companies won't ask for the entire SSN. The sent me a handbook, and a work email, some tasks like looking up and noting info about bitcoin/cryptocurrency, what competitor sites looked like and what kinds of things they did, writing an email simply sending simple info given to me to send (I think it was a test email because they specifically asked about info I had just looked up for them the day before. I called a "potential client", same thing as email. The two people I communicated with, was "Allan Miller" and "Timothy (last name?)", but their accents didn't match their names at all. One sounded Asian, the other European (could be Russian, I'm not very good at placing accents unless I know someone from there), I think. Who knows, maybe these were actually the fake accents and the scammers actually have American accents. I really don't know anymore. We communicated on Telegram. I'm not able to delete any of my info from any of the sites related to this "company".

I was just so desperate for a job that I let the red flags go over me. I told myself, they're just a new company trying to establish themselves. When they asked me to send a selfie with my ID, that was the moment I knew 100% they were frauds. No company asks you to send that for a job.

Please do your research on how to avoid scams and what the red flags are before applying to jobs! I don't want anyone else to fall victim to this. I am now afraid that my identity will be used maliciously. So far I don't think that has happened, but it could happen at anytime now. I hope this report helps.

I attached a screenshot of a message I received from them regarding their request for a selfie with my ID. Very suspicious, especially since he sent me an example of someone else's selfie with her ID. I have way more screenshots and downloads and saved documents, but this only allows me to upload one thing, which is surprising.

Other related "names" connected to Unitek Tech: Daniel Bazell ([email protected], Fletcher Garrison, Brian Moore (347-379-1022)

So you never got paid by them?

I have filed charges against Allan Miller. He is a fraud!
Did he ask you to open a business checking account at a Wells Fargo or Chase bank?

Check fields!
