On 10/23/16 at 2:15pm EST I located online adobe pdf software to purchase which was advertised for approximately $11/month for a three-year subscription. I navigated through the checkout process providing my debit card banking information. After I submitted the transaction, I received the invoice by email. It was for $73.63, double the amount of the original purchase. I immediately called the number on the invoice to question and dispute the charge, explaining that I did not purchase all the add-ons noted on the receipt. I spoke with a man by the name of Chris Johnson at 2:30 EST requesting a refund as I was not going to "download" the software and he told me someone would call be back shortly.

Three days later after no one called, I called back on 10/26/16 at 10:50am EST and spoke with a man named Mike Employee ID: 86872 explaining the situation and requesting an update on the refund request. He told me he would generate a refund request and I would receive it by email. About 10 minutes later I did receive the email about the refund. It indicated that a refund for $36.81 has been applied.

I immediately called back asking why I only received a 50% refund and the time was speaking to a woman by the name of Mary that told me it was "not possible" to refund the full amount. I asked why and she said the system would not allow for another refund since one had already been made. I told her that was unacceptable and fraud and again asked for a full refund and again she told me "it is not possible". I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told "not possible". Finally, after many minutes of persistence she puts a supervisor on the phone by the name of Cindy who informs me a full refund is "not possible" because it is the policy of the PDF Suite company and gave me a number to contact the PDF Suite company, 1-888-448-6882. I hung up with her, called the number she gave and it was the UpClick company.

Last night, 10/27/16 at approximately, 7:30pm EST I was looking at my bank charges online and realized the $73.63 had posted as a recurring check card purchase. I did not authorize this amount nor for this charge to be recurring.

Immediately I called my bank explaining what has happened and was told I needed to cancel my card and file a complaint with the banks fraud department which I did. The banks fraud investigation will determine if I am able to file a dispute of charges which in this case will be for the balance of $38.61 because the partial refund did (to my surprise) get credited to my account today 10/28/16.

Through the course of researching this Upclick company for additional contact information, I have discovered that my complaint has happened numerous times as well as other instances of fraudulent business practices of overcharging, recurring charging, and random charging of strangers never having done business with UpClick. It is flat out ecommerce fraud. Classic bait and switch practice.

I hope something can be done to stop this company from stealing globally from citizens.

Thank you.
