I was contacted on my home phone today and was told that I qualified for a Back Brace at no cost to me. It would be shipped directly to me. He said he was from UPS. Even though he had my name and address (he said it to me) he wanted me to "verify" it by saying my name and address. I think he wanted to record my information in my own voice. I told him that since he already said my information, why did he want me to say it? I refused and he started to argue with me. That's when I hung up. He called me back from a different Caller ID. The original number he called from had the caller ID of 908-479-0189 and the name "Marion Kepe". When he called back the Caller ID was 908-423-4906 and the name was "Merck Co". I then told him that proved this is a scam and I hung up. He has not called back. This happened at about 2:45 PM today, 1/10/2024.

Iwas awaiting a **** delivery from UPS 5/17/23 and got the text the same day it stated the package was not able to be delivered and I should contact them to reschedule this is the text

([UPS-Assistant] Your UPS-********* is on hold. Reschedule your delivery here: ups-app16230.from-ct.com/*******) ***** My phone flashed this message after see file attached

I believe the intention was to collect personal information / theft,

Because there weren't any notifications from sender and I also checked UPS website and they were unaware since I did receive my delivery I hope this helps someone else.

I received this text message on 1/22/23, did not respond to it and researched the number.

Received cslls and texts about package failing to be delivered. Am not aware of anything expected to be delivered.

I received this text and it made me think if I had any packages that I was waiting for. We order more items online now than before. I don’t have anything pending and that’s when I wanted to share with BBB, so others don’t get scammed.

I received a text message regarding tracking a UPS shipment. (I was expecting a legit package from UPS.) After clicking on the link, it took me to what looked like an Amazon page where I could get a free PS5 and pay for shipping. After giving them my credit card information, there was a notice I had a free 3 day trial to Xorive, a movie subscription service. I did not activate the subscription account and so far no charges have appeared on my credit card.

A guy name David Miller called my wife phone and said he works for UPS and he had a package for her to sign for and asked if she was going to be home. She said no. He said you have to be the one to sign for it since it is in your name. She said someone will be there and he hung up.

A person from this number called and indicated they were calling from UPS to serve court documents. When I asked who the lawsuit was from, the person prompted me to write down the name of the law firm suing me. I asked again where the lawsuit originated from, and the person became nasty and angry and indicated that "I was wasting his time." I hung up and called the corporate offices of UPS to verify if the number calling me (718/700-0004) was a legitimate UPS number, and it was not. Had I remained on the phone, I'm sure it would have led to extortion of money.
