US Pro Moving and Logistics Reports & Reviews (28)

My family was taken advantage by US Pro Moving and logistics last year. They scammed us out of over $5,000. After pursuing this for months I've filed several complaints and wanted to share the resources that are available to consumers who were scammed by this Florida company. I began by filing a complaint with the FL Attorney General's office at myfloridalegal.com. Next,

Florida's mediation program operated by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (DACS), Division of Consumer Services. You may follow up with the mediation program at:

Please also file a complaint directly with the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) as hostage loads are a priority. The FMCSA licenses and oversees interstate moving companies and has strengthened protections for consumers who use a broker to arrange transportation of household goods. You may file a complaint by calling toll free at 1-888-368-7238 or online at https://nccdb.fmcsa.dot.gov/NCCDB/Home.aspx. Best of luck to all of you who lost goods or money.

We received a quote form Guy Fisher with a cost of $3000. He asked for a deposit of $1003 on April 6th. Over month and a half later he called us two days prior our moving. Told us that our quote was under estimate, and he increased the price for a $6000. He was really rude to us asking us another deposit for the truck reservation for $1750. We didn’t have all that money in our bank account so we just paid $1250. They used our bank account information for getting the deposit of $1250 twice. We called our bank and stopped those charges. Another guy call Pablo called me on the day of our moving and he asked us another amount of money so they can come and pick up our stuff. We just decided to cancel the service. We tried to contact them through all the phones on their website. All of them were disconnected or unable to receive voice messages. They never answer the calls. Also Guy Fisher block our phone numbers; both my husband and me. We requested them through BBB our $1003 dollars back. They said there were not going to give us our money back. Basically they are THIEVES AND SCAMERS. Don’t believe on their 5 stars reviews cause they are paid by US PRO MOVING AND LOGISTICS.

They called after we had started looking into moving services. They went through my home inventory and gave me a quote based on the cubic footage. It was a good quote compared to others we were looking at. They asked for a deposit via electronic check so that I couldn't dispute the charge through my credit card company. They charge me $2,133 and 50% of the balance would be paid at pick-up and the remainder at drop-off. Two days before the move they called and almost doubled the inventory size I would need and the price...and then asked for an additional $3,000 deposit. I paid because it was two days before I was supposed to be out of my house. The movers they hired as subcontractors arrived a day late and had not received the updated estimate or information about the additional deposit. They wanted to charge me $19,000 for the move. I said no and they left. I called US Pro Moving to request my "fully refundable" deposit be returned to me immediately and they directed me to an email address. I have emailed over 10 times. No response. I have called back and waited on hold for over 20 cumulative hours at this point. I can't get through anymore. They have scammed us out of $5,133 and I can't see any way for us to get it back.

When I first was deciding whether to use this company I looked on BBB. There were many 5 star reviews. Since that time there have only been 1 star reviews describing very similar circumstances. This is clearly a scam.

Deposit made in January 2021 and move cancelled within requested timeframe. Deposit taken same day but they will not issue refund. Company accounts payable has stopped responding to me entirely. I have been requesting my refund for nearly 5 months. BBB complaint resolved nothing. This is a horrible company with great customer service until you have to cancel for COVID. I’m out $1200. Use another company!

Here is the email I sent to them February 17. I am now being complete ignored since April. ☆DO NOT USE THIS EVIL COMPANY☆

They have given me the runaround, ignored me multiple times, treated me like [censored] etc. This by far has been the worst customer service experience of my life. No exaggeration.

I, B*****J**** and formally requesting for a return of my deposit is the amount of $687, paid on February 3, 2021.

The experience that I have had with Moving Pros has been quite the nightmare to say the least.

Here is a copy & paste review that I left for Virgin Moving & Storage that will accurately portray this experience:

:I called Moving Pros, spoke with Tom Parker, who quoted me $1922, after inventory was given.
My scheduled moving date was 2/14/21. At 7:55pm on the evening of 2/13/21, Brian from VMS called me to ask if they can arrive early in the morning because of his dissatisfaction that he had to work on "Valentine's Day and on [his] birthday." He stated that (tomorrow) was Valentine's Day & his birthday several times, while also expressing that he wanted to be home with his girlfriend and that "no one wanted to work with him because of Valentine's Day." I felt extremely uncomfortable at this point and asked, "Should I hire someone else?" He of course, said, "no."
The morning of the move he shows up and continuously said "how much stuff [I] have," while shaking is head. Again, making me feel extremely uncomfortable. I had my clothes on hangers, zip tied, pulled through large garden bags and then taped tightly. There was about 6 of these altogether, plus a few more garden bags full of soft material like bedding. There were unpacked items as well. I made it clear that none of those items were coming with, and I'd be throwing them away. He then took photos of my inventory. Upon finishing, he began writing down numbers and told me outloud that $600 was being added for packaging material for the items in bags. I said, "Excuse me? $600 for some boxes and some tape?" He replied, "And for labor." Wow! Unbelievable, right? He then said that [Moving Pros] quoted me at mid 300 cubic feet and that I had 900 on something. Flash forward to the next day: we ended up loading up a Uhaul and I assure you, that I did not have over 900 cubic feet of inventory. He finished his new quote and told me it would be $5162.50! It went from $1922 to $5162.50. I would like to point out that my furniture was very standard for a small apartment: queen bed, headboard, small vanity, 2 nightstands, a bookshelf approx. 4' tall, a 3' flat-screen tv, a basic window side table for plants, a cat tree, standard coffee table, NO dining table and chairs as I was giving that away, 3 backless bar stools, and heavy duty shelving that was all broken down for them, but 2. That's it! The rest was boxes that I had numbered and the garden bags that I mentioned earlier.

He was aggressive with me & as a single female, I was feeling very unsafe. I told him how ridiculous his new quote was and how wrong it was to try & charge me over 250% more than the original quote. The feeling of being unsafe plus the outrageous quote, prompted me to ask them to leave my home. He continued to push for my cooperation. I continued to ask him to leave. He then sat in his truck for sometime afterwards while I received 3 calls from 2 different people, trying to persuade me to use their services and brought their quote down to $3100. I was so unsafe and uncomfortable feeling though, so I asked yet again, for them to leave. I will be fighting to get my $687 deposit back from Moving Pros."

Not only was my experience incredibly stressful, but it was also very intimidating and unsafe feeling. I will also add that I called Pro Moving, but couldn't reach anyone due to the day being Sunday. I texted Tom Parker and to this day have not gotten a response. I needed a new moving company. I called Tuesday while driving my Uhaul to Oregon to request my deposit back and was given this email to do so.

I will take this to a small claims court and report to the Better Business Bureau if need be. I will definitely report Virgin Moving & Storage to BBB, regardless.

I hope you all do the right thing.

One very unhappy customer,

[FRAUD ALERT] US Pro Moving and Logisitics is a fraudulent company. These guys are brokers, NOT a moving company. I called US Pro Moving and Logistics for a moving estimate and Liz Parker gave me an estimate. She asked me about ALL of the furniture I am moving so I told her, she listed each piece in the contract, listed the estimated volume my furniture will take up in the movers' truck as 626 cubic feet, and quoted me a price. She took an advance deposit from me in the amount of $1077 on the same day to make the reservation. However, on moving day, when the moving company arrived, they said that the EXACT SAME FURNITURE that Liz Parker had mentioned in the contract will take up at least 1200 cubic feet of space, and they said I need to pay AT LEAST $2500 to $3000 IN ADDITION to the total balance on the invoice. I told them that this is the mistake of US Pro Moving and Logistics and the movers agreed with me. I told them that my furniture should be moved for the original price that I was quoted because it is not my mistake. They refused to provide me service so I didn't move with them. When I called US Pro Moving and Logistics to get my deposit back since it is the mistake of Liz Parker, they were extremely rude to me and REFUSED TO REFUND MY DEPOSIT OF $1077. I not only lost money, but also had to endure a lot of stress on top of the moving stress that I already had. Trust me! Do NOT give US Pro Moving and Logistics your business. You will regret it! If you read other reviews, you will realize that this company has done the same thing to other customers too. YOU MIGHT BE THE NEXT ONE ON THEIR LIST! Give your business to another company. Again, THIS COMPANY IS FRAUDULENT!

The movers were supposed to come on 5/26 according to the dispatcher. Nobody called. I called the moving company today 5 times totaling over 7 1/2 hours because I was disconnected ALL 5 times. I am disputing the deposit since I never received service. The company sent me a message today saying “Congratulations on your move on 5/26.”

Nobody should use them ever!!

We contacted this moving company in Dec 2020 and now its time to move from PA to Florida. We have already paid half the amount as an advance. Our move is from a 3 bed room townhouse to a townhouse. I have been trying to connect to the staff who started all the moving process. There is no reply of emails, texts and calls. I have been trying to call at 833-380-8421 and I was on hold for 2 hrs but I was not able to connect to the staff. I have my confirmationbooking number, proof of paid money and all the emails. This company does not exists at all. They do not provide service. They are fraud/scams. I did not receive my money back. Never deal this company. Its a fraud.

They charged me $1765 and never showed up or even called. It’s been 2 months and tons of calls! Nothing! No response what-so-ever! Don’t use this company! They will steal your money!

I cancel my service a month ago and they haven’t send me my 1800 deposit back. Every time I call their customer service people don’t have an answer to me and they can never let me talk to a manager ?

Due to an unfortunate job situation, we were forced to move last minute and chose this company. Knowing how stingy moving companies will get, we specifically went over the inventory multiple times to ensure we wouldn’t be charged more. We covered every. Single. Item. Including the number of boxes we’re going to have, and how many large ticket items we have - pretty much as detailed as a person can get over the phone. We specifically detailed a California king bed, 2 kayaks, a love seat, a 3 person seater couch, and 25 boxes. We were VERY specific. In fact, we fell UNDER the number of boxes we told them we had. We were then quoted a price, and were told a date and time.
First they said Tuesday between 11-2, and then on Tuesday they told us they won’t be here now until Wednesday. As always with moving, time is money and we specifically planned to leave on Wednesday after the movers came on Tuesday because we are on a time crunch to move. Wednesday rolls around and we waited between 11-2 and after receiving zero updates, WE had to call the company ourselves and they finally told us they would be there between 4-6. 5pm rolls around, still no update, so WE call the company again and they tell us they won’t be there for another hour. We essentially had to do their job for them, because they showed zero care or concern to update us. Not a single person called us first to give us an update. WE always had to call them. 630 rolls around and they finally show up. When we called the company and their members in charge of our move to complain, we were told “well what’s that going to do?”. So then we tried to call who, we were under the impression, was the “boss”, or a member of management we could complain too. We called 4 times, and every single time it went to voicemail.
To add onto this, when the movers arrived and took a look at everything we were quoted for, suddenly we’re not able to fit the bed, two couches, and two kayaks we SPECIFICALLY listed to the company and they had in their records as the items quoted. We were also emailed those records and those quotes. The bed, the kayaks, and the couches were listed. So what exactly are we paying 2200 for if that’s the price we were quoted for based on our DETAILED list of items? Let alone the fact we were UNDER the number of boxes we told them we had. And then the company has the audacity to tell us that if we want to put our couches, bed and kayak in the truck it’ll cost an extra 1500? What is the goddamn quote for when we specifically listed these items and then we’re told we have to pay more for them?
This is, by far, the absolute worst service we have ever received from a moving company.
They take zero pride in their customer service. In no way or form is this a complaint about the individual movers themselves. This is a complaint regarding the absolute despicable customer service we experienced. This company is solely about how to make the most money on a move. They made an already incredibly stressful situation significantly more stressful. They do not care that, due to their miscalculations, we had to get rid of major purchases and furniture to keep it at the rate already discussed. We are already running on an incredibly tight budget and at this moment in our lives, we cannot afford an extra 1500 for items WE WERE ALREADY QUOTED FOR.

To summarize , this company not only showed up a day after they told us they’d be here, they showed up 5 hours late, forcing us to entirely change our itinerary and cancel reservations (costing us even more money than they already have). Adding to it, we had to do their jobs for them because we had to call the company every single time for updates. When we called to complain, we were only met with indifference and nonchalance - they showed zero care for customer service. Adding further... when the movers finally arrived, suddenly all the items we had been quoted for won’t fit on the truck unless we pay an extra 1500. This company forced us to leave behind valuable, big purchase items because we could not pay the extra 1500 - and frankly, we shouldn’t have had too. And because they showed up a day and 5 hours late, we had no time to find solutions regarding the items we were forced to leave behind and essentially throw away (the items that we were specifically quoted for).
All of that being said, absolutely DO NOT use this company. They do not care about their customers in any way or form, and they are solely just in it to get as much money from the customer as possible. They will GOUGE YOU for every single item. Their quote system means absolutely nothing to them, as they do not follow it or pay attention to it whatsoever. This company is a disgrace, and I will be sure to tell as many people as possible to never use this company. Thank you for making the last 48 hours a living hell.

You didn't purchase any of those items. They belonged to the family you willingly tore apart. And the items left behind were sold for more than they cost so the company did you a favor. Bad things come to bad people and to blame a moving company on your disastrous life is not fair.

This company is a scam. They should not be allowed to be in business anymore. We were quoted at $2800 for a move from CA to ID. The company they brought in counted 140 items and the total went from $2800 to $6900 plus $800 for shrink wrap, bubble wrap, and boxes. They ended up leaving. Justin from US Pro Movers said he talked with the company and they would do it for $3500. We agreed and they never showed back up. We called in regards to getting a deposit refund since no services were rendered. Its been a week now and they keep giving us the runaround. First they said call back in 73 hours amd then it was 24 hours. I called today and they said management was reviewing the file and it'll take 60-90 days to get an answer. Ill be contacting my lawyer. They prey off people trying to move and then get mad when you call them out on it. The company we ended up using charged us $3400 and the shrink wrap, bubble wrap, and boxes were free and they didn't count double the stuff we had. They were way under. This company just wants to screw people over. Be careful of the 5 star reviews that only have 1 review. These are all fake. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

- Malden, MA, USA

Scammer for the fraudulent company named Zach B. requested bank account information (routing and account number) for immediate payment on the phone, stating [likely fake] discount would only apply for this phone call, no time to consider other options (pressuring a customer known to be inexperienced with hiring a moving company). I had the quote emailed to me with electronic signature and for some reason he stated I could only pay in that moment over the phone via ACH aka giving him my checking and account numbers. He stated the company only uses ACH as payment, and that they stopped accepting credit cards since Covid due to lots of cancellations and long turnaround time for returns via credit card. Then he lied about cancellation policy, saying I would only have to pay 10% of the deposit (my move was in 4 days) when the policy in the contract actually states no deposit refund if within 5 days of the move.

This company is a broker that hires movers to do your move. They are scammers. Please look at fmcs.dot.gov before you consider using an online mover. This company showed up two days late at 7:30 at night with two guys and no shuttle. We were scrambling at the last minute to get our own truck, we needed 5 guys and a shuttle (I told them that in advance and they kept saying "its fine its fine"). They cut themselves checks from my checking account. They paid themselves $6500 and didn't even do a thing for us. We are trying to get the money back, but no one at the company will call me or email me. They can see my number on caller ID and just put me on hold now. Save yourself the stress and heartache we went through and hire a local company that will actually care and inventory your stuff and stand by their word. This company did not ever inventory my things or explain where or how my items would be stored. There are a lot of scammer movers out there right now. Most of them are from Florida. They will take your stuff and hold it hostage, ask for more money... its unbelievable but true! I wish someone had told me all of this! DO NOT HIRE MOVERS ONLINE AND DEFINITELY DO NOT USE US PRO MOVING! Do your research online through the protect your move.org non-profit. Scammer movers are a huge issue right now in the US. Moving is already one of the top 5 most stressful things that happen in life. Going with this company will leave you at risk for having a terrible, even worse experience. They abandoned us on moving day and suddenly no one could call me back, but they found time to cut themselves a $2000 check. So at this point they have collected $6500 and I ended up renting a Penske, paying my gardener, his two buddies and a hired expert from a local moving company cash to help us get moved in time. They knew our buyers were moving in, so they pushed it to the last possible minute. Its crazy unethical, I don't know how these guys sleep at night. It was far and away the worst experience I have ever had with any business in my life.

I got my deposit back! My bank charged them with fraud! $1000 deposit. You have 90 days to dispute with a remote check, 60 days with Visa. This company is so corrupt and the BBB has many complaints. My story was similar but I never had a moving company until 15 hours before my move. I had already disputed the deposit and made other arrangements. I was lucky to get out when I did. They are contracting crooks who hire more crooks to do your move! BEWARE!

+3

I was charges more for my items after the initial pick up. I was told about faad, which says that they have a minimum of 20 days but it could be 3o days before delivery of items. The nightmare came after the boxes were delivered and they charges 3200 more because I used more cubic feet that expected. My peroneal boxes that were packaged were repacked and retaped, rummaged through, and several items are missing. Customer service is only by email. I paid for white glove service. It was more like dirty hand. My items were stored in a Los Angeles warehouse for 30 days and my boxes were practically torn apart. Those are the ones that i packed personally. I am just disgusted
those items are not replaceable.

US Pro Moving & Logistics in West Palm Beach, FL is a scam company. Take a look at the Yelp reviews & ScamPulse.com complaints. Also notice on other review sites that all the 5-star ratings are from people who have only posted one review; i.e. a sign of a fake account. Through a Google search, we found US Pro Moving & Logistics LLC, and called the company on 9/14/2020. We stated we were looking to move across country and with our representative Joey created an estimate. We made an itemized list of everything to be moved, got a quote to which we agreed, set a pick up window of 11/29/2020 - 11/30/2020. We booked and put down a deposit with a check over the phone. Those funds were processed through our checking account on 9/17/2020. On 11/25/2020, we had a routine follow up phone call with Robert to confirm the move. On 11/28/2020, we called the two phone numbers on our estimate to try to get an ETA from a moving truck and could not reach anyone. A moving truck never showed up, and there was no contact regarding whether a truck was running late, or coming at all. Over the course of our two-day pick up window, we called US Pro Moving & Logistics five times. Either no one picked up, or there was no option to leave a voicemail. We emailed our representative Joey and the support email a total of four times. Not once did we receive a call, voicemail, email, or text from US Pro Moving & Logistics or any moving company/moving truck driver. So we requested a full refund due to no services rendered. We were ignored. So we brought our case here to the BBB. US Pro Moving & Logistics has replied to our ScamPulse.com complaint and refused the refund, claiming the movers were unable to reach us. However, US Pro emailed me, called me, called my husband, and has our contact information on the estimate in their records. Every time they called we picked up and were clearly reachable. So we will be taking our refund dispute to the next level.

We are moving and enquired to get quotes for a moving company. This company called me out of the blue, gave me a quote and bullied me into paying for the deposit via my banking account number. They then wrote a fraudulent check to themselves using this account number. I have cancelled the services and requested a refund. Since then, I have never had my calls returned or a refund of the money. Total is: $1189.00, dated 9/14/2020.

I have looked up numerous reviews of this company and it seems this is a very common problem. They must be stopped!!!

DO NOT AND I DO MEAN, DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY! THIS COMPANY ARE SCAMMERS! If I could rate them at a negative star, I would! I am sharing my experience so no one can undergo the same experience my son and his family had to go through as well as my experience as a parent who tried to help her children out financially but has no control being in another state.

First of all, this business has the WORST ORGANIZATION AND LACK OF COMMUNICATION EVER! Should have known better! I found this company because the internet stated it was a 4.5-star company. Therefore, I contacted this company because my son needed a last-minute move. In fact, all he needed was someone to load and transport a few boxes, a couch and a bed. Everything was already packed. Despite of how much the costs was going to be, I trusted on Fred Thompson (Senior Moving Coordinator). He reassured me that they are a reputable business and can vouch for the company since the owner is a prior Marine veteran. As a result, being a veteran myself and currently stationed in the state of Hawaii, I put my trust in the company. They informed me that they had a moving company that will be passing through from Las Vegas to go to Texas and can pick up my son’s items from Golden Valley, AZ and deliver it to San Antonio, TX. However, in order to reserve the date and moving company down, I needed to put the deposit while still on the phone. He sent me the invoice to read. Should have caught it when he was rushing me to electronically sign it. But I decided to read it in its entirety. The document looked legit and after reading it, I electronically signed it. Once I signed it, he referred me to Crystal from their verification office, authorizing the deposit payment be removed from my account. Being in the military, I learned to document all information relayed.
We never received the moving company scheduled to come for the move nor did any moving company showed up. Fred, Chris, and customer service informed us that they schedule a 2-day grace period in which no one showed up. The whole staff are avoiding any communication with me or my son. Although their site states they are 24/7 open, they are not. You call the customer service line and they direct you to a recording stating that it is passed business hours and to text only the emergency number. My son was left to rent a U-Haul and find someone to drive the U-Haul to their designated place in San Antonio, TX.

I feel helpless for my son and his family because I am in another state.

I contacted customer service the next morning hoping to get my deposit back since services were never fulfilled. I waited 10 minutes only to have them put me on hold for another 10 minutes. When I finally got to speak to someone, Joanna from customer service, didn’t really care about what I had to say and wanted to get me off the phone. She told me to email the support and cancellation department in which I informed her it was never a cancellation since you never fulfilled the move. She informed me to call the retention line. When I called the retention line, I received their voicemail in which you cannot leave a message because it is full. What I don’t understand, all the representatives in this company’s voicemail is full. When I finally got a hold of someone from Retention, Robert kept insisting that I do not call my bank and to give him until the end of the day to fix it. That was on 9/29/2020. I called my bank hoping to file a dispute and am awaiting. It is now October 3rd, 2020 and this company still is avoiding my call. I pray I am able to get something resolved and get the deposit I paid so I can give that to my son and his family.

Below is what I documented from the day I filled my information in their website, to when Fred contacted me, Crystal (verification representative), Chris (dispatch manager), Joanna (customer Service) and Robert Smith (Retention). Keep in mind the time is Hawaii time. I have given them ample amount of time to correct the matter prior to posting this, yet they are avoiding me and my son. Also, attached is the contract, screen shots of the conversation via text message. This company makes good people like me lose all trust on companies online who state they are Veteran owned.

I was lied to from start to finish. Even when I cancelled within the "cancellation window" of 72 hours, they did not keep a record of my call and so told me I never cancelled. They will use every excuse in the book to keep your deposit. Then never mailed or email copies of the contracts that were made over the phone, so I have no proof of what happened. I'm so glad I didn't go through with the move, because it would have been a nightmare. They are not an actual moving company, they are "contractors" who will set up your move with outside providers. The service was insanely expensive, and I was able to complete my cross-country move for the same amount I paid US Pro Moving and Logistics for only a deposit. Do not even agree to be contacted by these people. Zero stars, horrible company and even worse service.
